Fuji Sushi & Grill — Restaurant in Mönchengladbach

The food wasn't world class, but that's not to be expected in such a small town. What really made it shine was the staff being attentive to our every needs and reacting amazingly quick to any request. We came without a reservation yet they went through the trouble of splitting a table which was reserved for a later time. So now we had one table split between us an another couple.without reservation yet tehy kept being nice and accomodating. The splitting caused some organisation issues but they went over that with plenty of charming sorrys and aforementioned attentiveness if some orders got mixed up between this one table that now had two pairs sitting there. In the end we were full and happy, so a quite funny but succesfull last dinner out before the new year. Will surely come again on...

The all you can eat buffet is amazing. nice little portions so you don’t get too stuffed already to have a chance to taste the other food as well. But some of the food is a little tasteless as if they just microwave it. Sushi and grilled food is amazing and has a lot of taste. Staff is really nice and always helpful although a little all over the place as more customers come in. But it’s still their beginning. They openend not a long time ago. BUT my mother found a fruitfly in her ice cream. I don’t know if it flew in while eating of while serving. But if it did while serving and they noticed but didn’t want to get a new one, that‘d be disgusting. Wir waren heute Abend nach längerer Zeit wieder einmal im Fuji und sind leider sehr enttäuscht nach Hause gefahren. Die Qualität des Sushis hat sich sehr verschlechtert. Der Reis in den Sushirollen war so bröckelig, dass die Sushis beim anheben mit den Stäbchen direkt in ihre Einzelteile zerbrochen sind. Der Reis schmeckte auch sehr fad und nicht gewürzt. Auch wurde für das Sushi viel zu viel Reis verwendet, so dass wir richtig dicke Reisbrocken auf dem Teller hatten. Das Sushi welches wir mit Philadelphia gefüllt bestellt hatten wurde ohne diesen gebracht, was das ganze sehr trocken machte. Auch der Lachs auf dem Sushi war zu dünn und schmeckte nicht nach Lachs, sondern nach einem Ersatzprodukt. Schade finden wir, dass das Sushi auf dem Tablet lediglich mit einem Bild gezeigt wird, schön wäre es, wenn der Inhaber auch die Zutaten dazu schreiben würde, damit man besser entscheiden kann was man bestellt. Falls möglich sollte der Inhaber überlegen das Bestellsystem umzustellen, so dass jeder Gast am Tisch seine 5 Items auswählt (z.B. als Gast A), der nächste Gast als Gast B usw. So bekommt jeder das was er bestellt hat auf seinen Teller und man muss nicht ausklamüsern wer was bekommt. Trotz das das Restaurant nicht gefüllt war mussten wir lange auf unser Essen warten. Der Service war okay, die Bedienung war nicht sehr gesprächig und stellte das Essen ohne ein Wort zu sagen auf den Tisch. Das warme Essen war geschmacklich okay, der gegrillte Lachs leider zu trocken. Das Dessert war sehr lecker, die gebackene Banane, Eis und Tiramisu sind zu empfehlen.
