Sol de Mexico — Restaurant in Markt Schwaben

I've visited this restaurant twice and plan to come back again. The food is incredible and reminds me of true Mexican food from home. The atmosphere is so welcoming and vibrant you can't help but feel festive. The only thing I would note is that the service has a service system I've never seen before. There are little flag stands on the table, and customers need to pull the flag up to signal they want service. Which is interesting and fun if you are at the right table. On my last visit though, the table and it's positioning meant that my boyfriend's back blocked the flag from the services view. With the service not walking around it took a while for them to finally check on us. But thankfully once they did, everything went quick...

And another update: There was a HAIR in the food. they did not take price for the food 🥘 in that case some plus points.

Food is good BUT lately waiting times until the food comes to your table in two hours.

They are looking for some waiters, and still accepting guests. As a short term solution instead of letting guests come in, they could reduce the people accepted, and keep the rest satisfied.

Wir waren zu Viert beim Essen dort, haben zuvor einen Tisch reserviert, wir haben bei Ankunft einen schönen Tisch in einer Nische bekommen. Kaum haben wir uns hingesetzt wurden wir auch schon von der freundlichen Servicemitarbeiterin bedient und uns wurde erklärt, dass man die Fahne hissen muss, dann sieht die Bedienung, dass man was braucht. Wir haben unsere Getränke und Essen bestellt, dass Essen wurde ziemlich zügig serviert, ich habe Plato de Enchiladas Mit vier verschiedenen Enchiladas, Käse, Mole Poblano, Huhn/und Rinderhackfleisch, serviert mit mexikanischen Reis bestellt, war äußert lecker, meine Frau hat einen Burrito Vegetariano ,Weizentortilla, gefüllt mit frischem, gebratenem Gemüse und Käse; serviert mit saurer Sahne, Guacamole und “Sol de México” Salsa. Als Nachtisch haben wir Churritos, knusprig ausgebackener Nachtisch mit Zimt und Zucker bestreut, dazu eine Kugel Vanilleeis gegessen, hat auch sehr lecker geschmeckt. Fazit, es war ein wirklich schöner Abend die Location war schön, die Bedienung war recht freundlich und aufmerksam und das Essen hat gut geschmeckt, was will man mehr, war bestimmt nicht unser letzter Besuch hier.
