Brauerei Drei Kronen — Restaurant in Memmelsdorf

Stayed here in early June and thought it was lovely in every way. Had a lovely spacious room with good decor and comfortable beds and with a beautiful bathroom with a good shower. Even a tablet was provided in each room for guests to use and no additional costs for WiFi use. It did also as others have commented feel very homely||||Food at the hotel was great if you ate in in the evening which we did as my husband loved the beer. Breakfast was very nice too and all of the staff were lovely and spoke good English and always wanting to help. A good plus for us was that in the evening there was a menu in English available. Have visited a number of times over the years but never actually stayed in guesthouse so this time we treated ourselves and stayed there.||||Loved every minute of our stay and it was very easy to go down on the bus to visit Bamberg with lots to see and do and no need to take the car down and have to find parking which is always a pain. Also in Bamberg we visited various other breweries and loved them all.|||| I would thoroughly recommend staying at Drei Kronen and cannot sing its praises...

Drei Kronen is not a very sophisticated place to stay, however it is cozy and feels like home just after arrival. It is located less 10 km from Bamberg, that makes it a good alternative for lack of place to stay in Bamberg.||||A small free of charge parking is located at back of the hotel.||||Rooms are quite large but their decor is old-fashioned and fairly plain. I spent a few days in the room #32,that was located in the second building at the back of hotel. It was clean, spacious however looked a bit dated. Bed was comfortable enough to provide a good rest.||||Every day there was a fresh apple and a bottle of water replenished by the staff.||||Free WiFi in my room was useless - reception was to weak even to get connected.||||Buffet breakfast was not very exquisite, but tasted quite good. Additionally there was a possibility to have a coffee or tea as a take-away.||||Having in mind a cost of 70 EUR / night - my stay was a bargain. I would recommend everybody Drei Kronen as an alternative to stay...
