Parking at the hotel is limited but that is the only negative. The hotel is a good blend of traditional and modern business. The service is very good, with all staff very friendly, helpful and speak good English. ||||The rooms are modern with a good hot, powerful, shower. Due to the price of the hotel I opted for a single room but was pleasantly surprised at the size of it. The bed was a bit "IKEA" and creaky but comfortable enough once settled down.||||Breakfast is the usual buffet fair and of a good standard. They do hot breakfasts but you need to make a point of asking for it. There is free WI-FI, you need to ask for a code at reception - note that the code will only work with one device so you need to ask for another if you want to connect a smartphone etc.||||The standard of food at the restaurant is very high. Managed by Korff family for about 120 years. Located vis-a-vis Main Train and Bus Station. The place is very clean and calm. It has a restaurant in winter garden with a view on small water stream and serves an excellent breakfast. In 2022 the building looks like fresh renovated and has a fast WiFi with great cover and signal strenght all over the place. My room looked nice and was quite spacious. Restaurant, als Mescheder muss ich hier nicht übernachten. Für ernsthafte Küche gibt es in Meschede Stadt nur diese eine Adresse ! Schon meine Großeltern waren hier... Heute ist es allerdings sehr viel besser und moderner als zu ihren Zeiten. Die Mescheder lieben dieses Lokal nicht vorbehaltlos. Es gilt als teuer, man werde nicht satt, die Eigentümer seien borniert... Ich versichere Ihnen : Blödsinn ! Gehobene Küche kann nicht billig sein. Preiswert im Sinne des Wortes heißt den Preis WERT zu sein. Das trifft hier absolut zu ! Sie finden verschiedene Gerichte auf wechselnden Karten mit wiederkehrenden Klassikern. Es gibt in weitem Umkreis kein Thai Restaurant. Hier bekommen Sie ein sehr sehr ordentliches Curry. Die Lasagne hier, für irgendwas 12,-€ ( ohne Gewähr ) ist von keinem Italiener im Umkreis von 25km zu toppen ! Ein Wiener Schnitzel ( Kalb ) mit Beilagenund Salat, um die € 20,- Das ist mehr als fair ! Sie haben wirklich gute Fleisch Qualität, und sie können es zubereiten ! Super Steaks ! Da sind echt 200 /250g + auf dem Teller, keine grauen Lappen die vor dem Austreten des Saftes beim Braten x 200g hatten...Und man wird satt ! Brot mit Dips und Oliven gibt es immer während der Wartezeit, und nicht exakt abgezählt und gewogen. Eine wirklich gute und große Auswahl an Weinen, mit einem Senior Chef der auch was davon versteht ! Das Ambiente wurde stetig überarbeitet. Heute ist es toll ! Gleichzeitig modern und gemütlich. Will man kritisieren (sonst glaubt mir vielleicht niemand) würde ich sagen die Toiletten sollten zwingend „ überholt „ werden, die sind aus einer anderen Zeit und entsprechen nicht dem sonstigen Standard.
