La Locandiera — Restaurant in Munich

I went to this place this week and the food was really bad. Out of curiosity I also checked the low reviews on Google and I have to say, the staff is rude answering the reviews. I guess it's easier to attack paying customers than to say thank you and improve service and food.

It's entirely my fault because I ordered a classic burger, in an Italian restaurant but the dish was one of the worst I've ever had. The classic burger came with pizza dough buns, that was not too bad however the meat didn't have any taste, it was dry, didn't have any condiments i.e. salt and pepper. There was also no salt and pepper on the table. The potatoes didn't have any salt either and the mayonnaise was very very bitter. I ate half of the thing because I paid for it, it was late and I was hungry, but it was a very disappointing meal. My partner who ordered a calzone, found it bad as well and we found the meat within was sour. I mean I am expecting them to answer to this and be sarcastic to their customers but seriously, don't eat there.

Other: Hugo drink came without ice, so if you want ice, you should request it. At the end of this entirely disappointing dinner, upon paying, the waitress pointed out that service is not included. No other restaurant in Munchen I went to, did this.. and no other restaurant I went to had such bad food like this. Tips should be given when service and food is excellent. Also, given that the waitress did that, this must mean that people often don't tip, probably because of the food?

Also, in case the restaurant is planning on commenting to how a burger is made, or how a calzone is made: I've eaten burgers in many countries (Ireland, Netherlands, Spain) and I've eaten calzone in Italy as well and I've never tasted anything as tasteless as...

Vielleicht hatten wir einfach nur einen schlechten Tag erwischt, aber den tollen Bewertungen, die wir hier gelesen hatten und weshalb wir hergekommen sind, konnte unser Besuch leider nicht standhalten...

Das Ambiente selbst war super: modern und gleichermaßen gemütlich, der Service freundlich und aufmerksam.

Und als das Essen kam, war die Vorfreude zuerst groß, denn optisch hat alles erst einmal sehr lecker und ansprechend ausgesehen. Jedoch...

...die Pizza mit Meeresfrüchten war auf dem 2. Blick recht mager mit Meeresfrüchten belegt, die einfache Tomatensoße (nur heiße passierte Tomaten?) gefühlt ohne Salz und sonstigen Gewürzen und - ohne Mozzarella oder sonstigem Käse!!

...bei den Linguini mit Scampi, Muscheln und Oktopus waren jeweils 6 Muscheln und 1 großer Scampi "anwesend", den Oktopus suchten wir 3x vergeblich. Und während meine Mutter und ich kaum etwas von der undefinierbaren Soße auf dem Teller hatten, glich die Portion einer meiner Töchter schon fast einer Suppe. Salz und sonstige Gewürze waren auch hier leider kaum vorhanden.

...bei den zwei Burgern war der 1 cm dicke Käse fast kalt und somit kaum zerlaufen, der Rindfleischpatty innen teilweise noch roh und einer der Buns vom Grill an einigen Stellen schwarz verkohlt. Da haben wir dann reklamiert und man erklärte uns, wir hätten bei der Bestellung dazusagen sollen, dass wir das Fleisch durchgebraten haben möchten. Die Burger wurden dennoch mitgenommen und kurze Zeit später heiß zurückgebracht. Das Geschmackserlebnis blieb dennoch aus, denn wie schon bei den anderen Gerichten fehlten auch hierbei Gewürze oder eine leckere Soße und mein Sohn und auch der Schwiegersohn waren vom Ergebnis als Burger-Fans sehr enttäuscht.

Einzig die Vorspeisen-Bruschetta waren wirklich sehr lecker, das muss ich gestehen!

Als beim Abräumen die Frage "hat's geschmeckt" gestellt wurde, haben wir ehrlich unsere Enttäuschung mitgeteilt. Daraufhin wurde uns ein Dessert angeboten, allerdings nur Tiramisu und Schokoladen-Mousse und nicht die restlichen Desserts von der Karte. Von 7 Personen hatten 4 dann das Angebot angenommen. Im Vergleich zu den Portionen der anderen Gäste haben wir nur halbe Portionen erhalten und auf der späteren Rechnung (immerhin 190 €) keinen Nachlass für fehlende Zutaten oder so. Allerdings ernteten wir Kopfschütteln, als wir den fast schon aufdringlich angebotenen Lemoncello nicht haben wollten...

Tja, wie gesagt, vielleicht nur ein schlechter Tag oder ein neuer Koch, aber uns hat man so nicht als neue Stammgäste gewinnen können, denn wir werden definitiv nicht...

What to say, italian guys that do pizza, but do italian pizza in the italian way…so in the right way. Probably the best pizza i ever tried outside of Italy, it remembered to me the classic pizzeria managed by family that i have next to where i live. The guys are funny, caring and very warm, the clients are usually italians (obviously) or germans that have talked to an italian that told them that the pizza is really good there. The location is little bit outside so if you go here you need to have heard of this place in any way. I really hope they can manage to keep it like this and improve it, because for me it was a 5/5. Price perfect for being in Germany, quality top, personnel Italian (so top).. what you are asking for more than that ? Grazie regá, mi avete fatto...
