Ristorante Pastello — Restaurant in Munich

We went to this restaurant since a friend of our group had a good experience there a couple of years ago. We settled down, got drinks & ordered some dinner. Personally, I was given the wrong order. I remarked this in a relaxed manner to the woman serving us and she immediately replied back that it was us who must have said it wrong and that she was told something else. Instead of trying to come up with a solution, she immediately shut us down, patted us on the back (which we found rather uncomfortable) and told us to “enjoy!” and walked off.

We decided to just let it rest. I was disappointed but also too humble to make a fuss about it. Later, when she collected our plates, she asked whether I enjoyed the Calzone (which I initially ordered but never received) in a mocking manner.

We immediately decided, together as a group, that this was not done. We told her to just give the bill (we were initially planning on getting some deserts and coffee as well) and to just pay and head off. So we did. She was in a way a bit in disbelief how we were not very talkative afterwards and why we decided to just get out.

I would absolutely not recommend anyone going to this restaurant...

Came across this Italian restaurant by chance whilst staying in a hotel in the area. I wanted some takeaway food and was greeted with warmth and friendliness as soon as I stepped through the door, by front of house staff and the proprietor. I speak no German, but this was not a problem, I was given a menu with English translation, ordered pizzas and was advised it would take 10 mins to freshly prepare and cook.... giving me just enough time for a cheeky beer😊. Takeaway prices were approx 20% cheaper than the advertised restaurant prices, which were already reasonably priced. A very generous sized pizza was about 12 euros. When opened the pizzas looked great.... Neopolitan style with a lovely leopard spotted outer crust and nicely coloured base. The pizzas we had were very tasty, the toppings fresh and obviously of good quality. The tomato sauce was particularly tasty, which I think is sign of great pizza cookery. Someone else mentioned that the pizza oven isn't wood fired, and isn't it's electric, but I given the quality of ingredients and expert cooking, this detracts very little from the overall taste. Me and my friends were in town from Canada for Oktoberfest 2024. We were very tired from the days activities and were just looking for a restaurant closeby our hotel. Luckily we found this place and the food was amazing. I enjoyed the pasta carbonara especially. We ordered pizza also and it was great and tasty with fresh ingredients. We had a high end Italian food dining experience that would have cost us a fortune back in a big city back home in Canada and it wouldn't have been this good. Our server he was great and professional despite the hectic atmosphere at times. The food did take a little longer than usual to arrive but once it did arrive it was def worth the wait. As we were leaving the restaurant around 8:30-9:00 pm there was a descent amount of people standing outside still waiting to be seated. I was shocked at some of the reviews I read of this place after the fact, they definitely did not reflect our experience. Please give this place a try, me and my friends all enjoyed this place...
