Hanoi — Restaurant in Nuremberg

Went there with a group of 6 friends on a calm Sunday. There was only one other group, which were finished with their meal when we came. I am telling this because it took almost an hour for the staff to prepare our food. I guess they had to go hunting for the crispy duck.

They were wrong with the orders of two friends, bringing them rice instead of noodles (seemingly a common error as I check other reviews - we were fooled by the 4.1 star reviews).

The food was alright, nothing special but also was not bad. Perhaps the noodles were a little under-seasoned. Portions were enough.

But then comes the highlight: we were approx. 10 percent overcharged when we wanted to pay. Asking why, they said that the prices on the menu are for takeout and they put a surcharge for the dine-in guests. It was my first time there, it was late so I was the last one there. So I expected a good dish to come. I was correct. The sommer spring rolls were delicious and filling. Das vietnamesische Lokal liegt an der Nimrodstrasse, am äußeren Bereich des Gewerbeparks. Ein kleiner Terrassenbereich mit Schirmen im Sommer und innen mit 8 Tischen zu je 4 bis 6 Sitzplätzen je Tisch runden das Bild ab. Nein, es ist kein Nobelrestaurant, aber angesichts des Preis-Leistungsverhältnisses sehr authentisch. Das Betreiber-Ehepaar ist immer freundlich und mega fleißig, die beiden MitarbeiterInnen kümmern sich genauso aufmerksam. Dominierend ist sicher das Liefergeschäft, aber wer als Gast vor Ort isst, kommt genauso auf seine Kosten. Von 3,90 bis maximal 12,00 Euro kosten die Speisen. Mittagsmenüs sind mit Suppe oder Minirollen. Alles wird frisch zubereitet und die Portionen sind wahrlich groß und mehr als ausreichend.
