That is if you're gonna use the trains to get around the city the way we did. It was a mistake to stay here since it was quite a walk to the nearest train station, and there's not much to interest you as you make that long, cold walk in winter. So we had to take taxis all the time which makes this hotel not a budget hotel at all.||||I expected the small room, small beds, small TV, small table, small shower room, small mirror, etc. Still, I felt like Goldilocks using baby bear's stuff! Don't expect a mini ref, safety deposit box, hairdryer, etc. But it was nice to have a bathrobe!||||Checking in was okay - we were welcomed by a nice man from Sri Lanka. But the next shift was taken by a German woman (we just assumed tho that she was German; my bad if she's of a different nationality) who had the habit of disrespecting us - we were the only Asians staying there at the time. ||||Don't believe the online info that altho they don't have hot water or hairdryer, you can always request from the front desk. We requested - very politely but was taken to task just the same! "See here, you can't just come here and ask for hot water, I have to cook it first!" Duh. There was no room phones so we had to trek to the front desk to request. And how will she know when to "cook" water unless someone requested her? And what's the big deal about boiling water - is that a complicated cooking process? ||||At breakfast one morning, she saw me filling my hot water bottle with hot water (I needed to drink tea in my room after breakfast, and I didn't enjoy doing that in that place where she hovered with negative energy and insulting side glances), she loudly berated me not to get hot water there because the machine might break! Again, what's the big deal about hot water? And must she be so uncivilized about it?||||As for breakfast, it was ordinary and with too few choices. My friends stayed in Furth and had breakfasts fit for a king - at cheaper prices!||||We should have transferred hotels immediately but we already prepaid the room for 9 nights! So we just gnashed our teeth at this misfortune and rejoiced once check out day came. We'll never be back - ever! And if you're Asian, stay away from this hotel. Book nearer Hauptbahnhof - hotels there treat Asian guests a lot better. Or better still, stay in airbnbs - a handful of German-Filipinos are listed. You'll even enjoy home-cooked meals of your...

Read moreWe were staying for 1 night on our way through Germany. We had booked 2 rooms - 1 for 1 adult and 1 child and 1 for 1 adult and 2 children. In the room with 2 children, my son chose the bunk bed on top of the double bed. I saw a duvet and a pillow and thought it was fine. During the night, the aircondition stopped working and he came down because it was too hot (35 degrees outside). I tried to turn it on again but it kept switching off. I told him to lay in my bed and I crawled up instead. I realised, that the bed had no sheet and that we were just laying on the madras. I therefore had to lie on the duvet rest of the night! Without aircondition.||When I came to the reception next morning and told them about the missing aircondition and especially the missing sheet on the bed for my son (and me) they just said that there was nothing they could do. I then asked for some kind of compensation, at we had only had 4 beds ready out of 5 paid for. The woman behind the counter was SO RUDE AND CONDESENDING. She asked me in a very awful way if I wanted 5 euros (while speaking to me as I were a child wanting a lollypop), I said yes (even though it is not covering a fifth of the cost at all!) and then she aggressively pulled out her key from her pocket while staring at me, took 5 euros in coins and layed them strongly on the table pushing them towards me while saying “Here take your 5 euros” while looking at me with disgust. ||It was very UNCORMFORTABLE and I went away very shocked and sad. ||Don’t choose this hotel as they have clearly NO clue as to how to behave and treat their customers...
