This place is really surprising. If you just look from the outside it would appear to be a “normal” out of town pub where local people go for a drink with their friends. The interior of the main room is half dark and quite old style and it is clearly not very inviting. However, the magic happens one floor down, which is not visible from the outside. They have three lanes for what is apparently German bowling or very old style bowling. When you get into this place it is like you get transported into another time. Wenig Gerichte, aber dafür sehr lecker. sehr zu empfehlen die selbstgemachte Frikadelle, die man auch als Hamburger bekommen kann, oder das Brot mit selbstgemachten, kalten Schweinebraten. Ambiente ist halt wie in einer Kneipe. Wer etwas Feineres erwartet, sollte besser nicht hingehen. Wir gehen seit ein paar Jahren 1x die Woche nach dem Sport hin und fühlen uns immer wieder wohl. Und die Preise sind trotz Inflation, Covid etc. kaum nach...

Das Bällebad in diesem Etablissement ist sicher eines der größten im Hochtaunuskreis und sorgt für ein freudiges Familienerlebnis. Die Auswahl von Bordeaux-Weinen sucht ihresgleichen und die Beratung durch Tibur lässt jeden Sommelier vor Neid erblassen.
