Hop-Sing China-Imbiss — Restaurant in Ostfildern

I want to give my honest review although I am hesitant to share it since I don't want to hurt this business.

The owner was super grumpy. No hello, no welcome, no thank you, he just waited until I ordered, said nothing and left to the kitchen.. friendliness and kindness are non-negociables to me. At least, at the end he asked if the food was good and said good bye.

Which brings me to the food.. Seriously, I have never had such bad vietnamese cuisine. You could eat it but it is just so unpleasant, so tasteless, so uninspiring. I wouldn't go there again. People who review that this is worth the price and it's not a fancy place - think again. Any other vietnamese restaurant I know does it better for the same price. And it doesn't have to be fancy. I would be able to cook this better myself, and that's a bummer for testaurant/ take away food.

Only good thing: the restaurant is clean. I appreciate that.

This is quite possibly the worst Chinese food I have ever had! We ordered about five dishes and everything was soooooooooo below average I didn’t want to waste the calories by eating the food. Wonton soup, the wontons were a soggy mess, lacking in flavor, broth seemed to have slight flavor from the msg they sprinkled, the sweet and sour chicken looked ok, but the sauce is 100% watered down. The fried rice just sucked and not worth eating, rice quality was lacking definitely not Chinese rice. I can go on and on with the disappointment, I wanted to love it bc it is so very close to my home, but I am not going to lie save your money…just turn around and walk away. Don’t get excited like I did and then quickly get disappointed. Oh and the sassy guy at the counter was fun, I was sad I didn’t get to banter...

Very good food. The fried chicken and fried rice with peanut sauce was good. Very good for the price as well. The entire menu is standard Chinese Imbiss menu, however very exceptional quality, and absolutely very good for the price. A simple place for fair price good price and above average quality food taste. Service personality is a little .. dry. But with how hot it is inside, I don’t blame him.
