Gasthof Auer — Restaurant in Passau

we stopped overnight en route to Germany and use Sat Nav to find us a hotel for the night. It chose well!||||Double rooms 66E per night, and breakfast 4E per person. Our room was a good size, facing towards the nearby main road and lake. good sized shower room en suite.||||you can arrive until 1am - great for a stop over!||||Tv and hairdryer and toiletries provided in room. A-Z guide the room also- all about the local village/ amenties, it was all in German though, so my husband had to translate.||||wifi usually available, but wasn't working when we stayed.||hotel does dinner until 9pm, and we arrived a little too late, so we went to the local pizza shop, on the suggestion of the hotel owner, which is in the village and does eat in and takeaway.||||The pizza was good and also the tiramisu! (they also do pasta)||||Breakfast was usual German/continental - bread, meat, cheese, jams, organe juice, tea or coffee||||parking is at the back of the hotel, off the main road.||||the place is clean and owners friendly, we would stay here again. you can pay by credit card also.||||liked best - nice room, good breakfast||||liked least - pillows and duvet too soft/ no...

We enjoyed the beautiful, peaceful surroundings and the friendly, helpful staff. Frau Auer speaks German, her daughter speaks English and the lovely lady who cleaned the rooms spoke Italian so communication was fun and not too difficult! They all made us feel very welcome.||Breakfast was beautifully presented with a selection of cheeses, cold meats, fruit salad, bakery items, jam etc and tea/coffee/juice.||Rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable with a superb view overlooking the lake. Decorated in Tyrolean style.||Wifi was free and worked well, parking was just across the road (travel by car is advisable as it is a few kms from Kufstein).||Innsbruck was easily accessible by train (about 50 minutes away, I think) and there was plenty to see and do in Kufstein.||All in all a very pleasant stay in a beautiful...

Wir hatten ein Familienwochenende in Passau geplant. Hierfür hatte ich einen kleinen Gasthof mit Hotel (Familenbetrieb) ausgewählt. Zunächst rief ich an (ca. 10 Tage vor Anreise) ob überhaupt noch ein Zimmer frei ist. Ich hatte Herrn Auer (Chef) am Telefon und dieser reservierte gleich das 3er Zimmer für den gewünschten Zeitraum.|Ich wollte aber auch gerne noch etwas schriftliches in der Hand und habe deshalb eine email an das Hotel geschrieben und die Reservierung dort nocheinmal wiederholt. Bereits 10 Minuten später hatte ich eine individuelle Antwort mit Bestätigung.|Als wir dann am Anreisetag dort eintrafen, bekamen wir vom Chef nachstehende Ansprache:|"Sie können mich jetzt schlagen oder sonst was, aber ich habe kein Zimmer frei, weil die Gäste einfach nicht|abreisen."|Auf meine Frage hin, warum man uns nicht vor Anreise darüfer informierte, gab es die Ausflucht das keine Kontaktdaten vorlagen. Ich sagte daraufhin, dass ich von seiner Tochter eine Reservierungsbestätigung per Email bekommen hatte und sie somit meine Daten hätten. Ich bekam folgende Antwort:|"Ja mei, das macht meine Tochter und da schaue ich nicht rein!"|So etwas ist mir in meinem ganzen leben noch nicht passiert. Er hat noch nicht einmal ein Ausweichquartier gebucht, sondern lediglich hilfe bei der Suche angeboten. Jetzt kann man nicht mal mehr dem Wort vom Chef|trauen. Für Stammgäste vielleicht eine Empfehlung, aber sollten sie das erste Mal dort planen zu übernachten . . . . lieber etwas...
