Wonderful to have a restaurant replace the Indian and heaven help us another Greek. Bakun is a step change in the positive direction. The starter finger food platter for 2 was upsized for 5 of us and a lot of food arrived. It had a mix of summer rolls, crispy veg spring rolls , prawn dumplings, tempura prawns(perfectly done) with two dips. We were wondering if we would be able to now finish what we had ordered for mains.

The next meals arrived , the sushi was really good and there were two other dishes ordered as mains one Viet crispy crispy duck, which was nicely cooked, although the veggies tasted like they had been frozen and the second meal was peanut stir fry something with rice and same possibly frozen veggies which was very bland and would not recommend. The birthday boy got Balloons on the table when we arrived and was presented with. 3 or 4 scoops of ice cream on the house. What a wonderful breath of fresh air for Pinneberg. Currently the best asian cuisine restaurant in Pinneberg and likely the best overall. Along with the Drostei, this is one of few places where it is a nice date-night restaurant.

The menu is impressive and stacked with a variety of Asian cuisines, all done with very high quality. The portions are generous with exceptional amounts and variety of fish in various dishes as seen in the pictures.

The presentation is fun and a spectacle that can make an evening even better, while the fruit juice drinks are made fresh and packed with real fruit.

I was genuinely impressed by this restaurant and the quality of the sushi and rice. I hope they also do delivery soon.

Definitely worth a visit and we will definitely be back after two...

Meine Gattin und ich besuchen das »BEKUN« bereits seit Monaten sehr regelmäßig und waren bisher auch stets zufrieden. Das Ambiente, sowie die Auswahl der Speisen sagt uns sehr zu, ebenso wie die Möglichkeit, seine Rechnung elektronisch zu begleichen, was in der deutschen Gastronomie ja nicht überall selbstverständlich ist. So weit, so gut. Heute allerdings wurden wir in dreierlei Hinsicht leider enttäuscht, aber der Reihe nach: Heute hing draußen ein Zettel an der Tür, dass nur Barzahlung möglich sei (zum Glück waren wir zufällig im Vorfeld am Geldautomaten gewesen) und auf Nachfrage hieß es, das gelte jeweils am Wochende. Wenn das tatsächlich so sein sollte, dass nun samstags und sonntags keine Kartenzahlung akzeptiert wird, dann wäre das doch reichlich "bizarr". Was uns schon etwas länger wenig postiv aufgefallen ist und heute noch stärker ausgeprägt schien, ist die starke Fokussierung des Servicepersonals auf seine Smartphones, wodurch sie abgelenkt und unaufmerksam wirken. Hier müsste arbeitgeberseitig im Grunde "durchgegriffen" werden. Das macht einen schlechten und desinteressierten Eindruck. Der eigentliche Tiefpunkt war jedoch heute leider die Qualität der Speisen. Nicht nur gab es bei einem Gericht eine deutliche Abweichung in der Konsistenz, sondern offenbar war es auch um die Frische bzw. Hygiene nicht gerade zum Besten bestellt, denn wenig später stellten sich bei uns Magen- und Darmprobleme ein, die uns für mehrere Stunden außer Gefecht setzten. Insofern ist vorerst nicht damit zu rechnen, dass wir das »BEKUN« in der nächsten Zeit nochmal aufsuchen, denn wenn es Defizte bei Frische oder Hygiene gibt, dann muss man als Kunde die Reißleine...
