Bäckerei Exner — Restaurant in Potsdam

For a couple of weeks I came to this cafe for some coffee and cake, I came with my best friend and my dog, everything was fine, the coffee was fine (according to german coffee standards) and the cake was quite good and the staff was professional and friendly so we decided to come today again, my friend, my dog and myself but the experience was completely different. Only two girls were working and as soon I tried to come in with my dog, they started to yell like crazy!!!! "dogs are not allowed", since they were yelling, like histeric, at the beginning I didnt understand so I asked again and they kept yelling "dogs are not allowed" but really loud, rude and unprofessionally. this kind of horrible service is not even in the flee market expected much less in one cafe, specially because two weeks ago I was here with my dog, so are dogs allowed only once a month? are always allowed? are never? and has nobody explain this girls that they have to respect customers? and if they are not able to work with customers, why dont they look for another kind of job?

Do., 28.08.25: Habe mich heute Morgen um ca. 08:45 Uhr so richtig auf eine gute Tasse Kaffee gefreut. Also rein zu Exner in der Karl-Liebknecht-Straße 14. Hinter'm Tresen ein junger Mann. Die belegten Brötchen sehen frisch und knackig aus, also zum Kaffee Crema noch ein ganz normales Brötchen belegt mit Salami, Ei und Salat bestellt. Draußen hingesetzt und beherzt ins Brötchen gebissen ...: Total weich!!! Nix knusprig, absolut nicht. So weich, als wenn sie schon von gestern sind, und in einer Plastiktüte die Nacht verbracht haben. Der Belag war gut, aber das Erlebnis leider mies. Habe meinen guten Kaffee dann noch getrunken, das Geschirr drinnen abgestellt, und dem Jüngling hinterm Tresen gesagt, dass es schade sei, dass das Brötchen nicht frisch war, sondern total weich. Seine Antwort, und jetzt kommt's: Sie würden ja auch schon seit acht Stunden (!!!) in der Kühlung liegen, und das müsse ja sein, sonst würde der Belag schlecht werden. Seltsam: Ich kann seine Logik durchaus nachvollziehen, aber ich kenne es selbst von kleinen Bäckereien so, dass die belegten Brötchen immer frisch geschmiert werden. Fazit: Schade, sehr schade.
