Trulli — Restaurant in Ramstein-Miesenbach

Utterly disappointed. I have eaten a Trulli’s on three occasions and I will not return after the last and final incident (3 strikes and you are out!).

While the food is not horrible, at least one negative issue manifested during each visit.

Instead of rehashing the derogatory information from the initial two visits, I will concentrate on our final visit which occurred on a Friday 8 September 2023. We made reservations for three for an inside table at 6 pm. Once we arrived at 5:56 pm, no table was ready and we were forced to wait 15 minutes. Since we visited before; we arrived ready to order. However, the wait staff didn’t take our drink order for another 15 minutes. The drinks took 10 minutes to arrive, and we attempted to ordered our dinner when presented with drinks, but were asked to wait. It took another 20 minutes for the waiter to return to take our dinner order.

So…….One hour into our ordeal, we finally ordered! We started asking to cancel the order after 20 minutes, but mysteriously upon requesting to cancel, the appetizer arrived. However, the appetizers were not prepared correctly and we were forced to asked them to be returned due to dietary reasons. This resulted in an even longer wait. We lost all hope when the owner come back with the corrected order 20 minutes later and said “sorry, itsah busy.” It seemed everyone around us were eating….except us. At the 130 minute point we had enough and decided to walk because the owner said “we needa another 10-15 minuti to get everything ready…..sorry eh.” I informed the owner the service with a lack of attention to detail was unsatisfactory.

So, after a 2+ hour wait we decided to cancel the order and walk. In this case, the restaurant should do the right thing a pick up most the tab for causing us to lose 2+ hours of our lives which we can’t get back. (Specifically, the restaurant should cover the cost of the water, bitter lemon and the erroneously made appetizers). Why is it so difficult for businesses in Europe to do what is right! Nothing was discounted, or offered as a compensation measure for ruining our dinner.

This speaks volumes of their business mentality. Given this situation and the lack of business acumen, I will take my business elsewhere.

Ratings: Food: when prepared correctly 3 stars. Attention to detail: 0 Stars. Speed of service: 0 Stars. Ambiance: 1 Stars (sorry, an overview of the Edeka car park is not romantic). Customer Service: While the team is “friendly” it appears superficial….therefore 1 Star. Communication with client skills: 0 Stars.

I so wanted this place to be a beacon of light for Italian fare in this part of Germany…….I am left bitterly disappointed : (

I get it……the place was busy, but this establishment must treat its guests with respect! Wasting someone’s time is an outrage! Communicate the hurdles to your clients, respect the customer and let them...

Heute ,seit der Schliessung wegen Corona , das erste Essen bei Trulli im Restaurant, haben wir ein absolut tolles Abendessen geniessen dürfen, mit Abstand, aber ein sehr herzlichen Empfang, das Lächeln des Teams , auf dass wir sooo lange warten mussten, ist nun wieder da und die Qualität der Mahlzeiten sind wie vorher, einfach traumhaft lecker ein Genuss . Dankeschön dass Ihr wieder da seid. Today after the lockdown cause of Corona, we had a fantastic Dinner, simply delicious and the charming and smiles of the whole Team, which we had to wait for, for so long, was from the deepest heart we could feel their joy of being there for us. English/Deutsch After such (felt like)forever taking time we have used the Delivery service from TRULLI, since the possibility of seating in a comfortable inviroment isnt given, which we fully understand (with distance in a smaller place doesnt have much charm nor is it making enough business to survive of it ,neither being joyfull) we have used the opportunity ,which the Trulli team created to still serve us with their delicious meals to enjoy, it was as delicious as known, eventhough the Servicepersonal with their sweet and kind way were missing. Being thankful and appreciated this Service

TRULLI, nach gefühlter Ewigkeit, ein leckeres Essen geliefert bekommen, da das Restaurant zum hinsetzen und Athmosphäre genießen noch nicht möglich ist, für dass wir volles Verständnis haben, das Angebot für den Lieferservice in Anspruch genommen und uns riesig aufs Essen gefreut, auch wenn uns das Team dazu gefehlt hat, war das Essen sehr lecker wie gewohnt und ein wahrer Genuss nach dieser" langen" Zeit. Absolut zum genießen.

Seit 12 Jahren ,die ich nun in der Region lebe,ist es seit dem ersten Jahr mein Lieblingsitaliener. Ob mit Freunden aus anderen Bundesländern, oder aus der Region, oder Kollegen zu Festlichkeiten, jeder einzelne ist immer sehr zufrieden und gehen immer wieder gerne ins Trulli. Vom Begrüssen bis zur Verabschiedung einfach freundlich und zuvorkommend. Since 2007 since i have moved into the region,it has been since the first year my favorite italian Restaurant,regardless where my friends are from, i have taken out to this place,or workmates,each and everyone has been happy and satisfied with the taste as well as the inviroment and service. The keep returning. From the welcome up to the saying goodbye everything is very good. Bei heute tollem Wetter draussen das Essen genossen. Trotz grossen Festlichkeiten wie Weinfeste oder auch Seewogfest in der Umgebung ,war das Lokal sehr gut besucht. Ein sehr angenehmes Ambiente, nicht sehr gross , trotzdem auch Platz für Festlichkeiten /kleinere Firmenfeiern oder Geburtstage. Sehr freundlicher, zuvorkommender Service. Die bisher bestellten Mahlzeiten, immer zur vollsten Zufriedenheit und mit absolut besten Geschmack serviert, einfach super lecker. Über Jahre immer wieder hingegangen und wurde niemals enttäuscht. Kann es nur empfehlen. Der Preis entspricht der besten Qualität in jeglicher Art der Mahlzeiten. Gehe gerne wieder hin. Today we sat outside with nice Weather its for sure to enjoy. Eventhough there are many fests in the region ,it was still many tables in use. A very comfortable and nice atmosphare, Smaler but big enough to have celebrations(Birthday or promotion) of all kinds, very friendly and caring Service. All meals ,which we have ordered ,over the years ,have been very delicious and simply very tasty. Definately recommended to try. I had a wonderful experience at this Italian restaurant! After hearing positive reviews for months, I finally decided to give it a try, and I'm so glad I did. For dinner, we ordered the spaghetti bolognese and a prosciutto pizza, and both dishes were absolutely delightful.

The bolognese had a flavorful meat sauce with a hint of citrus, which I found to be a truly enjoyable combination. My daughter finished her entire plate, indicating that she felt the same way. As for the pizza, it was a standout. The flavors were fantastic, and since we're big fans of prosciutto, it was a real treat. I must admit, though, that the dough/crust was what truly impressed me. It was simply amazing.

To complement our meal, we indulged in some good beer and wine. And to top off the evening, we treated ourselves to a dessert of vanilla ice cream, warm raspberries, and creamy goodness. It was absolutely delicious.

I highly recommend making reservations ahead of time, as this place tends to be quite popular. By doing so, you not only ensure a seat but also have the choice of dining inside or outside.
