We arrived with our electric scooter. Got in and the older lady with white hair wanted to know what time it is. I saw her face like very unhappy so I asked if it is okay to park or two scooters next to our table. We didn't want to leave them on the street because someone might steal them. Then she asked what time it is. It was 15h35. She pointed to the wine display and check the wine list there are we wanted to taste the wine. I saw it said 0.75l, so i wanted to only have one bottle. Her face was like very angry. I tried to be as polite as possible but not even a single smile back. So to comply to her angry have, i ordered two wines, with the risk of getting trouble when driving. I don't want to drink and drive. I try to be very friendly with all people, but got nothing back. Sorry for this review that is bad. I try to support family business, but this is not how you serve your customers. Finally they gave us two wines of each 0,1l. So that's ok. Jeez, so...

On vacation in the Mosel Valley we stayed near Alken. We found a quaint but lively restaurant while exploring this village. Marion, the owner, took great care of us and with a little bit of wine we were able to communicate wonderfully. Marion is very passionate about what she does and recommended excellent dishes and wine from her vineyard just up the hill. Angeregt von den vielen guten Bewertungen sind wir nach einer Wanderung auf den "Bleidenberger Ausblicken" hier eingekehrt. Zunächst mal das Positive: Die Einrichtung ist wirklich urig-gemütlich, der Innenhof lädt bei guten Wetter auch zu längerem Verweilen ein. Was das Essen angeht - die Garnelen sind mehr als empfehlenswert, ebenso die Salate. Mein Schweinesteak war ok (zu dick und etwas trocken, aber trotzdem lecker), die Bratkartoffeln gingen dagegen gar nicht. Leider schwankten Chefin und Bedienung zwischen freundlich und überfordert. Mal abgesehen davon, dass unser Essen zunächst versehentlich einer Tischnachbarin serviert wurde, fiel gerade die Chefin durch häufiges Fluchen auf. Die Krönung bildete ein Vorfall, bei der die bereits erwähnte Tischnachbarin um weiteres Besteck bat. Das stand auf einem Nachbartisch, weshalb die Chefin dann sagte, sie hätte es sich auch selbst nehmen können. Den Hinweis darauf, dass dies kein Selbstbedienungsrestaurant sei, kommentierte sie dann mit einem leisen "leck mich am A....". Eigentlich wollten wir noch etwas mehr bestellen, unter anderem mehr von den sicher leckeren Weinen (ich kann nur die Nr. 4 beurteilen, die war wirklich gut), aber schließlich sind wir kurz darauf gegangen. Für das Drumherum hätte ich 3-4 Sterne gegeben, aber letztendlich blieb bei uns ein fader Beigeschmack bei dem...
