We found this restaurant passing through Trittenheim and couldn’t have been happier with our find. There’s a big parking lot behind the restaurant. The building is impressive with its large doors to enter and display of wine right inside. They have a large outdoor seating space and we were told to go around back and she’d meet us back there to help find a table. The service was welcoming. The menu was impressive with a wide variety even a few Asian dishes. Our orders were taken right away and our wine was delivered quickly to the table and only a short wait for the food. Both dishes were impressive, the steak was cooked a perfect medium with fried onions on top and the tagliatelle pasta I ordered had plump shrimp, a not too overpowering pesto and a delicious tomato sauce. Very friendly service, delicious food, we...

We ate flammenkuchen w spargel, which is essentially thin pizza like dough with asparagus hollandaise sauce and cheese. Also had a pork schnitzel w mushrooms. Both dishes were good. The mushroom sauce was a bit too salty for me. Also had onion soup - which was good. Prices are standard for this area and time. About 15 Eu for the schnitzel, 13 for the spargel flammenkuchen. Bottled water is pricey, quite common here - but a little overdone here - I think it was 7 euro. All in all 42 Eu for a medium size meal...

While many restaurants on the Moselle serve similar menus, Seminarshof stands apart for both the attention to detail and for the modern variety in the menu, including inventive vegan/vegetarian offerings. While schnitzel seems universal, the schnitzel here was exemplary. The vegetables were fresh, the dressing ideal, and the entire meal was satisfying. We left believing that the owner of this restaurant puts a lot of energy into it and sincerely cares about the quality...

Soweit, so gut. Schade....
