Pizzeria Da Nando — Restaurant in Steinbach (Taunus)

We've been coming here time and time again because it's nearby, usually once or twice a month. Yesterday we decided to take a break for a while; the food just isn't enjoyable anymore. In our opinion, there are several reasons for the owner to change the concept; even we've noticed the steadily declining number of visitors. Basically, it's "just" a few things: First, the quality of the food. Everything seems a bit sloppily cooked together. Why they quickly pour olive oil over everything is probably a secret of the chef. This way, everything ends up tasting the same, and that's certainly not the right approach for a menu that aims to cater to a variety of tastes. Second, there's the consistency. Rarely, when you like a dish and order it, does it taste the same as the last time? Are there no instructions on how things should be cooked? It seems kind of random. The fact that add-ons like mayonnaise and other things are "missing" doesn't really improve the overall experience. The atmosphere of the restaurant is getting worse as well; it seems untidy and not particularly clean. That may be different, but that's the impression and what you see. Dined with a few friends there. Service was very friendly, pretty professional they way she served us and the food they served was really big on portions, with unbeatable prices to it. Einmal und nie wieder. Nach unserem erfolgreichen Einzug in der neuen Wohnung hatten wir dort zwei Pizzen bestellt. Eine der Pizzen hatte einen starken Curry Geschmack obwohl nichts dergleichen bestellt war. Die andere wurde mit Pilzen geliefert was so auch nicht bestellt war. Telefonisch beschwert um wenigstens eine ohne Pilze geliefert zu bekommen, die Ersatzlieferung war dann eilig zusammengeworfen und nicht durchgebacken.

Die LieferantIN hatte einen flauschigen Oberlippenbart (ja richtig gelesen). Da kriegt man direkt Appetit. Der geschmacklose Analog-Mozzarella und die aufdringlich nach getrocknetem Oregano schmeckende Tomatensauce tun ihr übriges.
