Mangia e bevi — Restaurant in Stuttgart

It can’t get better. And I mean it. I travel a lot (!) and normally try to eat in small local restaurants. So Italian was not on my radar screen in Stuttgart. But the old building looked amazing and after two out of two people on the street I had asked for recommendation pointed out “Mangia e Bevi” I thought I give it a try. This place is not only amazing outside — it gets even better inside. Super warm and nice atmosphere. Excellent service (all Italians) I can’t describe how much I have enjoyed my Focaccia as antipasti and the Pizza Napoli. Fresh, delicious, light but still so tasty !! Maybe it’s the fact that the Chef is also Italian ... as everyone in this place including the super friendly owner !! Yes ... it’s a “must come back” spot !! Mille Grazie,...

Delicious dinner experience. We found this restaurant after landing from the airport around dinner time. For a Tuesday around 6:30pm, the restaurant was not busy. We were seated quickly.

Staff was very attentive, friendly, and service was quick. We loved our food. The tortellini was creamy and delicious, while my husband got the lasagna. It’s not your usual lasagna you get places, as this one was with a white/cream sauce. The flavors together were so different, it just worked really well together.

We were able to pay by card. Limited parking outside, with a few street spots available.

We would easily stop back if we were in the area or flying in/out of...

Good beer, but not the best one. Not that good food (small portions and not even Italian specialty), also pretty expensive. The waiters are very nice people, one of them served us everytime with some candies. But the boss is awful! He kicked me and my friends out because one friend of mine didn't want to order something to drink. Then we came the second time with more people and he kicked all of us out because the boss recognized me. Very rude person! Usually I order more drinks or an other drink after I eat something, but the boss didn't want to wait for me to have a good time. NEVER EVER will I...
