Lovely Bavarian brewery restaurant close to the Tegernsee lake. There's a very nice beer hall inside and a terrace outside with rustic looking big tables and benches. The terraced area is covered with big sunshades, offering protection from heavy sun and slight rainfall. The menu is typical Bavarian and doesn't offer too many items - which is a good indicator for some good food quality. Indeed, both dishes that we ordered were really good and while they were surely prepared in advance to some degree (they were on the table within 5 minutes), they were excellent in taste and texture. The dumplings (both my Semmelknödel and my wife's cheese dumplings) were delightful, the sauces were tasty as well. Beer wise, they mainly offer the Tegernseer beers but they also have wheat beers from Schneiderweiße. There's also alcohol free beer varieties, mixes (Radler, Russn) and the typical soft drinks. In addition to the fixed menu, there's also a weekly menu with one special dish per day, which makes the restaurant interesting for coming back to try something new. Service was quick and friendly, prices were acceptable - we paid for two main dishes + 2 Russn about €35, which is really reasonable, especially if the quality is right. Toilets were clean and well equipped. We will definitely come back and can really recommend this place, especially if you can sit outside.

My family lives in Tegernsee and we come here whenever I’m in town. They have some of the best beer in all of Germany. Very high quality beer, my favorite it their dunkel but their Helles is also very good. This place gets very busy with tours. I’ve never seen this place not busy. They have lots of seating inside and outside. You can’t go wrong with any of their food. However their Sweinehaxen is so good. They also have daily food specials which are fantastic. The one night I was there I had the meatloaf with wild mushroom sauce. I ate here at least 6 times while I was here. I would highly recommend this place for an authentic German meal and great beer!

This restaurant has an absolutely amazing vibe. It is quite an old restaurant and serves local bavarian cuisine. It is always buzzing with people especially locals which makes up for its lively atmosphere. We choose to sit outside on the benches since the view was amazing. We had the bavarian homemade sausage with sauerkraut and a potato salad which was delicious. The portion sizes are huge so order accordingly. And of course what better to go with food other than bavarian beer. If you are on a visit to the Tegernsee lake then stop over for a bite here. Servers speak English and are also helpful and guide you through the menu.

We spent a weekend at the Tegernsee in July. The Bräustüberl of the Tegernseer Brewery is my favorite place to eat and drink on the Tegernsee! The food and beer is great, the prices are more than affordable (especially for the area) and the atmosphere and the view are spectacular!. The next day we came back and I had a special unfiltered version of their classic "Helles"! I highly recommend coming here, when in the area! The ambiance is great, they have both indoor and outdoor dining. The service was quick and the wait staff was polite and welcoming. And again I highly recommend coming here, when in the area!

We spent a weekend at the Tegernsee in April. The Bräustüberl of the Tegernseer Brewery is my favorite place to eat and drink on the Tegernsee! The food and beer is great, the prices are more than affordable (especially for the area) and the atmosphere and the view are spectacular! I had the Bierbratl (Pork Roast) to eat and the dark lager to go with it. The next day we came back and I had a special unfiltered version of their classic "Helles"! I highly recommend coming here, when in the area!

I really liked the feel of the place and the comfort dishes offered. It was huge and mostly packed. Reservations are a good idea unless you want to sit outside, though we did kick out without one. We had a couple of sausage dishes which were as expected (good) and a pancake noodle soup (also good). The beer and cider were good as well. From a location perspective, it’s really nice but that probably doesn’t do a lot to differentiate it from other spots since most offer the same.
