Bevor wir die Basilika besichtigt haben, wurde eine Kaffeepause eingelegt. Und weil das Wetter so toll war, haben wir uns draußen hingesetzt. Bei dem Cafè ist Selbstbedienung angesagt. Innen ist es gemütlich eingerichtet und jede Fensternische ist anders dekoriert. Ich entschied mich für die spanische Vanilletorte; ein absoluter Gaumenschmaus. Überzogen mit einer Schokoladenschicht und garniert mit frischen Früchten. Da isst das Auge gerne mit.

Unglaublich leckere Kuchenauswahl (russischer Zupfkuchen!) und hausgemachte Limonaden (Holunder-Melisse!). Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich. Weiterer Pluspunkt: extrem saubere und moderne Toiletten! In diesem Café fühlt man sich rundum wohl.

3.5 overall. CASH ONLY. Pay when you choose your sandwich, cake, etc, and bus your table when finished. We stopped for a quick lunch when visiting the monastery. FOOD: 4.0.
