I have been waiting for the opening of this restaurant for a real long time and I am so happy to learn that the restaurant opened successfully on 14.01.2021, even though the conditions due to Corona Pandemic are not the best for restaurant owners. This fact itself shows the dedication of the team and the owners of the chain. After a huge success in many other cities like Nürnberg and Erlangen, Aalen is honoured to have Sangam at its city centre. We ordered Chicken Khourma and Butter Chicken with Lasun and Onion Kulcha and we were amazed at the true authentic taste of the food. Being from India we really missed the this authentic taste of Indian food. I am very very excited to try out the chaat and the Indian street food that’s on the menu. Can’t wait to order the next time. Team Sangam heartiest welcome to Aalen and keep up the great taste and service of...
Read moreThis place is situated right next to the Aalen Bahnhof. We went there based on a friend's recommendation and tried the following dishes:
Virgin Pina Colada: 4.5/5 (approx 8 euros) It was really delicious with appropriate amount of sweetness and coconut flavor. The cherry topping just enhanced the look of the drink.
Chhole Bhature: 4.5/5 (13.5 euros) Palatable and full of flavors. One of the best chhole bhature one could try in Germany.
Veg Manchurian: 3/5 (6 euros) This dish was a disappointment to me. The gravy was tomato based instead of the one with onion and capsicum as we have in India. Despite mentioning that we want Indian taste for this, I fail to understand why would anyone make Manchurian with a tomato based gravy.
The ambience is nice and they have both indoor and outside seating. The service...
Read moreI would not recommend this place as the portion sizes where not good. as an Indian I found the food to be tasteless with no real flavour to the food. As a food lover I found the portion size of the meat dishes are too small as they concentrate on giving more rice with the meat dishes to save money. I ordered a mix grill which was so bad. It had cabbage in the small bowel and just had a few peace’s of meat with rice and naan for one person. Overpriced at 21€ For 2 to share They are scared to flavour any of there dishes and I would mot recommend this to anyone. Waste of money. I hope they can add thali to menu and work on real authentic Indian cooking and less of this bad options they have. German Indian Restaurant Lack flavour in my opinion. They do do good starters though! so I can say that but the main dishes...
