I should preface this review with the fact that I'm a tourist from Australia and not a local. Amazing service, the bar waiter did not speak much English but despite this was extremely friendly and tried his best to serve us well. The restaurant waiter was extremely invested in me and my friend having a good experience and this was very appreciated. The food was amazing, me and my friend both got the meat platter (3 small steaks: beef, pork and chicken). The meat was incredibly tender and juicy. The BBQ sauce paired well with the beef and the garlic butter paired incredibly well with the chicken. I swapped out the potatoes for the truffle fries and there was no issue there. The truffle fries were amazing, I think the fries were cooked in truffle oil as every fry had an amazing truffle flavour but was not too strong. This place alone is worth visiting Friedrichshafen. In my eyes, this place looked very traditional, but modernised in a complimentary way. The beer garden was spacious, had a good décor, and it was full of local people. Expect to reserve a table as it is very busy, for a good reason! Staff are very friendly and helpful. Food and beer is fabulous. They accept cards and were open on a local public holiday. Fully recommend - great food and even better price/value ratio. We have been here in peak time, restaurant was almost full including garden. Even when warned that food preparation can take long at the end it was very fast. What I was little bit surprised was slow service of drinks, but in relation to all other exceptional service I can not remove star for this. Food was really great! And for reasonable prices.
