We were used to be their regular customers and gave at least 20% tips off the bill. But we will NEVER go back there again because of what they had done today. As we asked for the bill, the owner (yes that Asian lady who seemed to never smile...she is THE owner) told me in broken German that our son had to finish his sushi rice (2 balls),otherwise they would charge it next time! She said, people who made those sushi had to go to the hospital since it is really difficult to mold the sushi. I was stunned. I told her that you know really well that we have been coming here since day 1. And we always gave good tips. I mean hello 20% off the bill, which is not customary in Germany. I also told her that she better watched out for Sakura restaurant. It is their new competitor which my friends have told us to go there. We will definitely be going to Sakura from now on. Good bye Oishii,...with this attitude, I am so sure, sooner or later, nobody wants to go there. Oh btw, they have put more and more and more and more MSGs nowadays!!!! You can definitely feel it.....you will feel so thirsty hours after eating at this...
Read moreI had a very unpleasant experience at this restaurant, which made me feel like they were biased against Asians. We tried our best to finish our meal, leaving only two tiny pieces of rice uneaten. However, the owner, a Chinese woman, came over and scolded us for wasting food, which was both shocking and unnecessary.
What made the situation worse was the clear double standard. We noticed other tables with Western customers leaving behind much larger portions of food, including expensive items like meat, yet the owner said nothing to them. This unfair treatment made us feel singled out and unwelcome.
Additionally, the food wasn’t particularly good. The rice had an overly sweet flavor that tasted unpleasant when eaten without seaweed, which was why we decided not to finish it. It’s worth mentioning, however, that the rest of the staff were polite and professional. Only the Chinese woman’s behavior stood out in a negative way.
Overall, the experience was disappointing. The unfair treatment and mediocre food left us with a bad impression, and I cannot recommend...
Read moreWe have been several times at this place. It's a strange combination of sweet and sour. In general , I find the food quite good and the offer with enough variety to make it enjoyable. The all-you-can-eat policy, means you will most likely make it to the 4th or 5th round :) Since all the ordering process takes place through an iPad, the service limits itself to bringing the small dishes to the table. And that really shows...these poor people are probably miserably paid, don't expect anything from the service, no smiling and basically running away from you as fast as possible. I had once a really bad experience with the credit card reader which wasn't working (and they didn't warn us beforehand). They basically said stone-faced that I had to get the cash somewhere, but fortunately offered a wine bottle to apologise when I came back. So, I would say for an evening out with friends it's ok and enjoyable, as long as the service is not an...
