I had amazing service and food from this restaurant. They were very friendly and have labeled vegan options. The options are not many but the options that they have are extremely delicious so I didn't feel like I was missing out. Plus the menu is in of itself is super huge anyway. This results in really good fresh food being cooked to order. I had the vegan plate which included delicious grilled vegetables and potatoes and rosemary. It sounds simple, but I love the fact that it wasn't very oily at all. In fact, it was perfectly oiled. Just enough but not too much to make you sick. And the food was so fresh and delicious. It was such a pleasure to eat. It tasted farm to table. Very good quality! Then I also had the side salad that came with it and it was delicious. Fresh greens and tomatoes and sprouts along with a very nice light dressing. It was not drenched at all. And I appreciated that their side salad included other things besides just lettuce. It was filling and made with love. The greens were good as were the other things that were in it. Then for dessert I had their delicious tapioca dessert that was completely vegan. They add fruit to it as well as a cookie crumble. I actually just like the cookie crumble with the tapioca but either way it was delicious and not overly sweet. Everything was perfect including everybody's service. They were so helpful and friendly and didn't get annoyed with my German which is not that great, they also spoke English. Highly recommend. I didn't get a chance to actually stay at the restaurant to enjoy the views, but it's in a great location. Pro tip: there's a sauna right next door that you can buy a day...
Read moreOkay, let me just tell you a little about Leddermann, because I am still thinking about that delicious lunch that we had several days ago. :-) My husband and I were on our way to Dierhagen, and decided to stop for a few hours to check out the town of Waren. I'm so glad that we did, because we will definitely be coming back for a longer stay. Anyway, we decided to have lunch at Ledermann, and when we walked in, my first impression was...meh. It is stylishly modern and very clean, but not warm and cozy by any stretch of the imagination. Don't get me wrong, it's not at all bad. I just had a different expectation when choosing a restaurant that overlooks the lake. The waitstaff was friendly and customer service is 100% on target. The menu, while limited, is clearly inspired from what is growing seasonally and regionally, which I love. The absolute best part though, are the flavors. That meal was so delicious! You have to not be a hamburger and curry wurst kind of person to appreciate this, but I'm telling you, I have paid much more in Michelin star restaurants, for a fraction of the flavor that I experienced here. Well done Mr. Leddermann. Well done. That Ochsenbäckchen was absolutely fantastic, and the deconstructed apple tart with white chocolate macadamia ice cream -...
Read moreThis restaurant was recommended to us, but I'm not really sure why. From the moment we step into the room I felt that the staff was trying to get us out as fast as possible again. Although it looks very classy when you enter, after you sat for a while the atmosphere felt cool and uninviting. We had ordered drinks and wanted to just sit for a bit before starting dinner. We asked to wait with our food for another 15 minutes, but the staff immediately ask us if 10 minutes would be okay. So we shoved in our appetizers and food. Both fish dishes, fish and sauces, lacked seasoning. I couldn't even get a Meerrettich flavor from the sauce. We were going to order some dessert, but nobody ever came back to ask us if we had decided on something. The waiting staff just walked by us with a glance in our direction and went to other tables. First, they were trying to get us out fast and then they didn't even pay attention to us anymore. I also liked how 3 of the 4 ladies wore there masks under their noses while...
