I don't usually leave reviews just to rant about something, but I'm leaving this review mostly in the hope that they update their menu and educate their staff better. We were there yesterday because we saw on the menu that they have quite a few vegan options and even a whole section with "vegetarian and vegan meals". When we were at the table and looked at the menu more closely however the allergens said that in literally all vegan meals there is egg or milk and in one of the vegetarian meals there was fish. When we asked about this one of the waitresses had absolutely no clue about it all, clearly didn't know what vegetarien/vegan even means, but at the same time also didn't really have a way to help us. Another waitress then came and helped us and told us that the meals can indeed be made vegan. It is just very frustrating if in 2022 you still need to explain in a restaurant that vegetarian doesn't include fish and vegan doesn't include eggs or milk etc. Afterwards I always find it hard to even trust them when they say it can be made vegan/vegetarian when you know they don't even really know what it means. On top of that we had to wait an hour for our food while at least 20 other people who got there after us were served before us. And the worst part was that one of our meals really wasn't tasty and the other one was good, but for such a long wait it definitely wasn't good enough and in total we just had a very disappointing experience and we would definitely not go back there. Cannot recommend vor vegans/vegetarians and as said at the beginning I can only hope they inform themselves and update their menu and...
Read moreBest spring rolls I've ever had, I think. So lets move into the Sushi - very good ! no skimping :) great sushi, looking around the tables I'm pretty sure all the food is top. We sat outside in the sun with the terrace overlooking the 'Rhein'. I don't know what took this area so long to develop this concept? anyway it's finally done and it is really nice eating sushi when there is water around you :) It helps a lot! So would you like to guess my downside ? No Wifi (outside) - that means this review happens a week late if I remember to do it - If you want people to send people photos of how great the place is you unfortunately need WIFI - just make the investment and don't tell me its inside . It's a couple of xtra bucks and you have it outside too. Just do it. But don't let the Wifi get you down the food and everything around it is really good - really good . Oh don't forget the non alcoholic drinks are really good too, if thats your thing. Would love to see another beer option Lasser is quite horrible beer :( (You lose a star for no wifi...
Read moreWe were a groupe of 5 including a child, the restaurant was busy with not enough staff to cope, we thankfully ordered the childs meal to come with the starters as it was almost 45 minutes before the mains were served, by this time the little one was getting restless, even with the games and crayons we brought with us. Our food was good but not hot, guessing it sat on the pass for a while, and for the prices charged I do not expect processed chicken. The child menu should also have a dedicated dessert choice, we were told the icecream portion was two balls, and they would have to separate an already prepared serving. Which obviously was extra work for the staff. Not surprisingly other children were getting restless and starting to cry. When we paid the bill in the middle of the entrance with people trying to come in, not even a thank you and good evening. Very sad as the restaurant is...
