La Piazza — Restaurant in Wertheim

The details of the restaurant and food seem great but the overall feel from the staff is less than welcoming.

My experience was as such: my uncle and I decided to drop in for a bite during lunch time (12.30pm) but the it was quite full inside the restaurant so we decided to sit outside. Given that it was busy, I decided to go in to order to make it easier for the staff. I approached the first staff to ask whether I should order at the counter or wait for someone to come take my order. He looked indignant and seemed not keen to take my order, he then grunted “you order here” and then pointed to the counter before walking away.

I then approached the counter to speak to the bartender. I mentioned that we were seated outside and are planning to order. To which he looked at me and said “Outside is closed” then looked away. I was puzzled, so I approached another waiter (the helpful one). He told me to not worry and have a seat, he will come to take my order soon which he did. We ordered two hot chocolates and two slices of cake of which I informed him to send one to another table (one of my friend’s) to which he agreed to, I then also requested for a menu to order some savoury food. He nodded and within the next few minutes had our cakes and chocolate ready. He did however forget to bring the menu, I chose not to trouble him then since he was off taking orders for another table so I went in once again to request for a menu.

This time, the same waiter who grunted earlier saw me and walked past me despite me asking for a moment. The next waiter I approached just muttered “Colleague” and walked off. And finally the last waiter just ignored me when I spoke to him. I then stood at the counter area waiting for another 5 or so minutes to attempt to order. Still no response and only hateful glances, I chose to pay and leave.

I truly hope that this is not the standard that most people are facing, given the rating and how cosy the feeling was inside...

Not recommended at all we had a bad service from "farhad" and he mocks customers, making fun of them, he thinks he speaks German but when does not understand what the customer says he start saying stupid stuff. he forced us to pay the tip although we agreed not pay him tip. When my mother started to speak Arabic to me he started to repeat what she says and make fun of her. He does not respect customers. I wanted to put him in his place, but my problem is that I don't speak German very well and I did not wanted to get stressed. I took my daughter to the bathroom and I saw him there finishing pissing and getting out without washing his hands! For customers who don't know how to speak German very well and how to put this kind of people in there place, this customer not recommended for them at all. Other things like food, is good. But we did not enjoy the environment because this ugly...

Um es vorweg zu sagen: Ich habe nichts gegessen, mehr dazu in dieser Bewertung.

Erstmal sei gesagt, die ganzen Outlet Gastronomie Angebote sind grundsätzlich überteuert, da sie eine Monopol Stellung besitzen, gut das weiß man. Aber bei den Preisen hier bin ich vom Glauben abgefallen. Erstmal musste man sich selber einen Tisch suchen, dass geht beim McDonald's, bei einem Laden, der sich Restaurant nennt, nicht. Der Service war komplett überfordert, der Laden ist nicht gerade der größte und der Außenbereich ist jetzt auch nicht so riesig. Das war aber nicht das schlimmste.

Nach 15 Minuten kam dann doch mal die Speisekarte an und die Preise sind utopisch überteuert. Ich zahle nicht für Barialla Nudeln und Barialla Soße, die ich in jedem Supermarkt kaufen kann und hier nur mal nett angerichtet ist keine 9,80€. Ich habe die Portionen bei anderen Gästen gesehen, diese sind winzig und bekommen niemanden satt. Nudeln (Barilla) mit Tomatensoße (auch Barilla) ist keine Sterneküche, da könnte ich die Größe der Portionen ja verstehen. Außerdem ist die Auswahl bei den Nudeln extremst eingeschränkt. Da gibt's drei Sorten mit Käse, eine mit Tomatensoße, eine mit Sahnesauce und das war's dann auch schon. Ebenfalls ist die Pizza im Vergleich auch winzig. Klar in jeder Dönerbude ist die Größer und billiger, in jedem "Nicht - -Outlet" Restaurant ist der Preis wohl 2-3€ niedriger. Aufgrund des schlechten Services und der abnormal, überzogenen Preise bin ich aufgestanden und gegangen, was keinen der Service Mitarbeiter erstmal interessierte. Einen Herrn interessierte es dann doch. Ich teilte ihm meine Kritik mit und er meinte nur (Zitat): Das kein Service kam ist schlecht, die Preise mache er nicht und er empfahl mir ein Restaurant in diesem Outlet, welches hauptsächlich Burger anbot. Die Empfehlung war das einzig positive, was ich an dem Laden finden konnte.

Fazit: Preise sind total überzogen, Service nicht gut. Zum essen kann ich nichts sagen, sah so ganz okay aus, aber Barialla kann ich auch zuhause haben und die Portionen sind definitiv für den Preis viel zu klein. Die Auswahl bei der Pasta ist zur gering, es fehlen Klassiker wie Spaghetti Bolognese oder...
