What a great lil breakfast spot that Un Petit Café is. 💫 A chilled place to grab a hearty breakfast or brunch to get the day started. We passed by one morning in search of a new place that does breakfast well and we were not disappointed.

I had the Schinken Käse Toast with a Heiße Schokolade and everything was great.😋 The proportions matched the amount paid, the food tasted fresh and well cooked, and the sauces were amazing. That seasoning was also good but as someone who loves seasoning, I would have liked a bit more fire on there.😄 We did talk to the guys about it and they said they keep the seasoning down to be accommodating to all taste buds, which I can understand.

The atmosphere is calm and mellow so you can just eat and converse with company. The speed of service is good as it did not take too long to get our orders. The staff are open and personable so interactions are pleasant and respectful. The only thing to take note of is that it's not really the biggest of establishments, so if you go there on a particularly busy day, there might be some difficulty finding an open table.

All in all, an awesome eatery that I hope maintains it's levels of service delivery and continues to succeed...

I haven’t had the chance to eat here. I went one Friday around 4.45 PM and the guy at the counter said, we are closing. I said, no worries I just wanted to know if I could reserve a table for the coming Sunday morning? He said, „ you need to go on the website and then call under the number is try your luck“, I asked why he can’t tell me if there is a spot available as I am already in the store and it makes no sense to call to get the information. He said he can’t tell me because his Chef decides this. The whole time he seemed super bothered that I am there and was very unfriendly. If this is the kind of friendliness that a cafe offers, then good luck staying in Business! Ich möchte heute meine Erfahrung bei Un Petit in Wiesbaden teilen, und leider fällt diese Bewertung gemischt bis kritisch aus. Wir waren mit einer kleinen Gruppe dort, voller Vorfreude auf einen gemütlichen Besuch. Das Café selbst wirkt auf den ersten Blick einladend, modern eingerichtet und bietet eine Auswahl, die durchaus vielversprechend klingt. Besonders die Toastvariationen hatten es uns im Vorfeld angetan.

Als unsere Bestellung schließlich nach einer sehr langen Wartezeit an den Tisch kam, war die erste Reaktion: Erleichterung. Der Toast selbst war geschmacklich wirklich gut – frisch zubereitet, schön angerichtet und von der Qualität her absolut überzeugend. Man merkt, dass hier mit guten Zutaten gearbeitet wird und man sich beim Konzept Mühe gegeben hat. Auch die Getränke konnten mithalten: aromatisch, gut abgestimmt und geschmacklich rund. In puncto Qualität habe ich hier wirklich nichts auszusetzen.

Doch leider überschattet die Wartezeit den gesamten positiven Eindruck. Für gerade einmal vier Toasts mussten wir über 60 Minuten warten. Eine Stunde für ein simples Gericht, das in anderen Cafés in wenigen Minuten auf dem Tisch steht, ist schlichtweg inakzeptabel. Es war weder besonders voll, noch gab es eine nachvollziehbare Erklärung vom Servicepersonal. Stattdessen wurden wir hingehalten, ohne dass jemand offen kommuniziert hat, warum es zu so einer Verzögerung kommt. Diese fehlende Transparenz wirkt auf Dauer extrem frustrierend und lässt die Gäste sich im Stich gelassen fühlen.

Ein Lokal kann noch so gutes Essen servieren – wenn die Organisation und der Service so schwächeln, bleibt am Ende leider ein sehr bitterer Beigeschmack. Ich finde es schade, denn das Potenzial ist zweifellos vorhanden. Qualität und Geschmack stimmen, aber die Abläufe und das Zeitmanagement müssen dringend verbessert werden. Kein Gast möchte eine Stunde auf Toast warten, egal wie gut er schmeckt.

Fazit: • Pluspunkte: sehr guter Toast, leckere Getränke, angenehme Atmosphäre. • Minuspunkte: Wartezeit von über einer Stunde – eine absolute Zumutung.

Insgesamt würde ich un Petit nur eingeschränkt weiterempfehlen. Wer viel Geduld mitbringt, wird geschmacklich belohnt, aber für ein entspanntes Frühstück oder einen schnellen Snack ist das Lokal aktuell leider keine...
