Hidden gem!

I have been to the arts centre quite a few times and I have never looked at the direction of Abajo and I’m so glad I did today

It’s on the right hand side of the main entrance to the Art Centre (centre for national culture)

It’s open from Monday to Saturday It has a beautiful airy garden area before you enter the main restaurant

The restaurant has a dark interior as such the pictures may have a vibe that may not be immediately appealing but it’s really nice and spacious inside with African inspired interior and many interesting things to look at my favourite being the book self!

If you are a fan of African literature you should spend the day here, I definitely plan to because I saw some great titles I would love to read

I didn’t get to taste the food, just went in for a cold drink on a hot day but I’ll be sure to update this review when I do.

I love that they had vegetarian options. The staff were very nice and helpful to me.

They have live performances on Fridays

It’s definitely worth checking out if you are ever...

Abajo is quite the experience if I want to talk about it I might end up freezing google 😂. But the aspect of culture there is nice after the renovation it's not as heavily based on culture but it's still satisfying to observe . The people there are down to earth, they don't judge and made me feel at home, even more home than home. The food is very nice even the manner which you are served is unique, the music is also dynamic so don't worry you won't be bored and you might even beg them not to close especially on friday nights cause on Fridays it's basically my go to night club. Absolutely...

Great local restaurant with tasty cuisines. You can't go wrong choosing from any of the a wide array of meals on offer. Add a chilled beverage to get it settled. The rich African vibe that place gives is just amazing.(really great for selfies and group pics) Sit on wooden stools made for kings and admire art works on display. And their drums collection,.. really nice.

It's a nice experience, and I hope you'll remember to add it to your tourist...

One of the worst waakye I've ever had. The waakye was abnormally soft with the beans to rice ratio skewed towards way more beans than rice. You can get much better food off the street. I asked for a change to jollof since it looked more appetizing, but it was a flat out no. Very poor service Please don't waste your time coming here. There are better restaurants out there.
