No doubt this a great place and in an ideal setting for most tourist right in the compound of Kumasi Cultural Center. The setting is cozy and warming. BUT, customer is very lacking. I have been there twice this week and and was very disappointing in the lackdaisical attitude of the staff. During my visit yesterday, we spent about 2 mins walking back and forth trying to find a good seat because there were so many people on one side and wasn't sure if there was a party going on. During this time the staff and even the shift supervisor walked past us a couple of times but said nothing. Finally we sat dow and for 12mins, no one had attended to us let along bring us a menu. Later we got a menu but it was 2 booklets for 3 people. When I asked for a 3rs one, hthe waiter made it seem I was bothering him. He took the drinks and the food order for the other two and I needed a minute to look through the menu since mine came late. Later he came by and picked the menu from the table without asking for my order. I5mins went by so I asked another waiter to call ours for us. Took a while before he came and I ordered mine. The food was taking so long that we decided to do a take away. Mine was taking forever still so I paid and left because I had a meeting at 6pm. We got there at 415pm,i left at 535pm with ought food. I am a Ghanaian and I know customer service is lacking everywhere. This is a GREAT place where a lot of tourist and expats come to dine. I just need the owner to pay attention to the customer service issues that's is becoming a norm because I've heard at least 5 other people comain about it and I've only been here for a week. The staff is there for the customers. NOT the customers for the staff. Please Take...

This is our first time in Kumasi, from the United States. We were highly recommended to eat here and was looking forward to the experience My family of four ordered meals and a snack (Kelewele). After a long wait the Kelewele came out and so did mine and my daughter's rice dinners. About 15 minutes later my husband's Ikes Special Rice and Fried Shrimps came out. At about 20 minutes later our child's burger and fries came out. We were finished with our meals by the time his food arrived. When his food arrived, the fries were cold and the burger lukewarm. When brought to the manager's attention it was dismissed. Finally he offered to make a new burger but made new fries.

We didn't want a new burger an hour after it was supposed to be at the table. My son was hungry and at 3 bites of the burger. The Manager Justice/Justis refused to remove the burger off our bill. He much rather discuss minor details that were not pertaining to the mis-management of the kitchen and not about customer service and ensuring that all was handled properly. They even charged for the Styrofoam containers and we were unaware until the bill came. My son received his meal over 40 minutes after my daughter and I received ours. Huge disappointment. Justice even blamed the waitress and not take ownership, as the manager. Kitchen management need a cooking preparation refresher and management, as a whole, need customer service training. First...

I ordered 3 different cocktails, which were sold out and a pizza which was sold out. I understand things may not be available, but it's incompetent for service staff to not be aware in advance. Furthermore, stock control must be improved.

There's a shortage of food menus. So unfortunately the menus were taken away from my table whilst in the toilet. Unacceptable.

Tables were cleared without any interaction from staff. No questions whether everything was okay. Perhaps I'm expecting too much, but in my world, this is standard service procedure.

I had half a cocktail left, which my server tried to clear from my table without asking!

The food was okay..

The venue is beautiful and unique, I suspect the main reason for the success. It certainly is not the service or food.

This place has so much potential, if only they invested in training their staff. Management must communicate with bar and kitchen to understand what is in stock and communicate with service.

I'm really cherry picking now, but management decided to play Elton John and Eric Clapton throughout my entire dinner service, was a little strange - But that's subjective.

I would still reccomend this place due to its unique identity, however, management must invest in training staff. As I said, so...

Absolutely beautiful restaurant. You can tell a lot of thought was put into the design and it was executed very well. There is ample free parking on premises. We visited on a Friday night and it was stunning. There was also a live music band which began around 9/9:30 PM. They played an assortments of genres from American rnb classics to Ghanaian highlife. It was wonderful. However, the food took extremely long and we were thoroughly disappointed. I called an hour in advance to ensure our food would be ready upon our arrival. And nothing was ready. We waited an extra 45 mins for the food to arrive. Totally unacceptable as we had called in advance and were told the food would be ready. And then when finally delivered, the dishes were okay, nothing to rave about. We tried the palm wine and while my father liked his, I didn’t like mine as the fermented taste was too strong. What made up for my experience was the absolutely stunning decor and live band.

We had already planned to go here from the reviews, but were happy that our guide also recommended it. It's a larger restaurant with a very attentive staff and a very nice atmosphere overall. We went for a (mostly vegan meal). The food was really good and we enjoyed the jollof, kelewele, and red red. The red red came with an absurd portion of plantains, which was in addition to the kelewele. I added the pineapple sauce too. The food came in a weird way. we finished the jollof before anything else came. then the kelewele and red red came close to each other. when we were finished, they brought he pineapple sauce - which was odd. we though they forgot and wrote it off. The portions were huge, so we ordered a veggie fried rice and at the leftovers in our apt for lunch the next day. Note: we also ordered a wrap to go that was decent. I can see why this spot has so many great reviews.

Located at the cultural Village in Kumasi, this is a great place to vist! Decor follows an African art theme, with lot's of wooden furniture and wall hangings depicting the African daily life. I visited on a stop over for lunch with a bunch of work colleagues and had pan-fried beef with Jollof rice, with the Long Island cocktail. My colleagues had pizza, shawarma, vegetable pizza, fufu and palm oil soup. My beef had more vegetables than beef, but it was cooked just fine. The food was delicious but be warned that the cocktail is a little weak in alcohol content! The service was great, the waitress checked up on us enough and asked about the food but didn’t hover over around. Food also arrived in a short time, probably because we arrived just before rush hour. The music is nice, slow and funy, while there are plenty of seatinf options as the restaurant is really spacious , clean and serene.
