Lemon Lounge — Restaurant in Central Region

Our tour guide called ahead for a lunch buffet at the Lemin Lounge when we arrived. We waited 30 minutes for the buffet. The local foods of jolllop rice and kelewele were the highlights next to delicious but just slightly dry chicken thighs and late-to-the-party white fish that arrived as we were finishing our meal. White fish was excellent. Kelewele is great and much better tasting than it sounds with plantains and tomato base sauce. Jollop rice is more than tomato sauce and rice with some unique spice flavor. Dessert was a crepe and packaged ice cream in vanilla, strawberry or chocolate which contains some higllly processed ingredients. Great food. We had an amazing lunch at Lemon Lounge after doing a couple of tours in Cape Coast. Honestly we were going to head back to Accra as we were not happy with the options of restaurants available and then came across Lemon Lounge. The restaurant is well laid out and very clean. We were served by Bella who was attentive. As a party we had the calamari, fried fish with jollof rice, grilled prawns and fries. The sea food was incredibly fresh and the flavours were amazing! The green pepper and brown shito is the best we have ever tasted and given my husband is Ghanain that speaks volumes. Alongside and extensive food menu there is a extensive cocktail menu. The food is good. The staff is very professional, friendly and welcoming.

The place is cool and clean. The bathrooms are also very clean!

The food is served fresh and hot, which means it takes a while to prepare so don’t go there starving, because you will have to wait!

Cons: I just wish everything wasn’t garnished with the same green peppers, onions and tomatoes 😩 it changes the taste of the food...
