Ikion Cafè — Restaurant in Alonnisos Municipality

Fish so fresh it was caught after we sat down! Four of us visited Ikion Cafe by boat (the best way). We spent a little time chatting over the fine Greek red wine on the terrace outside the cafe to the mother of the owners who then went off to catch seafood in the crystal clear bay. We went through to the back to sit down and order a mixed selection of fresh fish and seafood from the display. As we waited the Greek white wine arrived and then we recognised the same lady arriving with her bucket of live seafood. I know it can happen, but when there is situation to have hair in coffee or in the straw, I at least expect from waiter to say sorry, while he was just looking suprised with reaction “wow”, when we asked for the bill, he was just leaving it on the table withou appology.
