Sossinola — Restaurant in Alonnisos Municipality

We have been at Sossonola for six days. It is not a real hotel but more a rooms to let place. The rooms are simple but confortabile and plenty of space and with a beautiful terrace with veranda. We got a room with a view on the sea which, even partial, was really beatiful. The bathroom would need same renovation and also cleaning may be improved. The restaurant is ok, but we stayed there only once, preferring to tray the many "tabernas" of the island. The breakfast, which you can have at the hotel's restaurant with a supplement of 6 euros per person, is really good. The Wi-Fi works (not always) at the restaurant only.||All in all, the place is strategic to visit Alonissos, which is a gorgeus Island with many places still pristine. The worst service I have had in Greece so far. Front of house manager or whatever he fancies himself as, a total waste of space. Ignoring someone after making a mistake does not make the problem go away. The fish we did get was not totally ruined but...bread that we did not order was charged per person, chips that we did order did not arrive, salt/pepper not present, when asked for took long time to arrive after being ignored for an extended time got up and went to server area inside to enquire about the chips fish already half eaten at this time, got told chips had been taken to wrong table but would be deliver very shortly...after additional wait the junior junior helper gets sent out to tell us that the chips were never on the order ...
