We came here twice during our stay in Ammouliani - and will not return again. While the location makes the establishment seem convenient and lucrative, it cannot make up for the abhorrent service and coordination; additionally, picking a dish is like stepping blindly into a mine field - some are unfortunate disasters. Here’s our experience:

The first visit went relatively okay. We were tired, hungry and a little out of it from the long venture to the island, so we didn’t mind the ~30 minute wait. Our food came, with minor mistakes - instead of stuffed calamari we received grilled, and the mussels in saganaki sauce were doused in vinegar to a point where they were barely edible - but nothing huge. We’re not the kind of people to make a fuss, we just wanted to be fed and sated after a long day of travelling. The waiter who served us was charismatic and kept the mood light with a joke or two.

The second visit, however, opened our eyes. Confident with our pick from the previous night, we returned again for dinner the next day. We were seated promptly and brought water, bread and after a while menus. Then came the waiting. We waited an hour for someone to take our order, and 15 minutes to receive what we thought we ordered - Pasticcio and Spaghetti with Prawns for 2. Somehow, the young waitress misheard “Pasticcio” for “Pasta with Feta Cheese” (or was not really listening) because she returned with the menu listed Spaghetti w/ Prawns and a sad, pitiful looking plate of spaghetti and sprinkled cheese on top (an item not even listed on the menu to my knowledge, yet she never double checked with us). Puzzled by this sad abomination, we flagged down another waiter and asked if this was the Pasticcio. He shook his head and offered to call over our original waitress. We obliged. She comes over and we explain this is not what we ordered. Instead of admitting to making a mistake, mishearing us or having some other miscommunication & misunderstanding, she brashly insists we are wrong and this is what we ordered, shifting the fault onto us. We calmly explain that, no, we did order Pasticcio, and all three of us heard so. Apparently she would have known if we said Pasticcio because “We don’t have it today and I would have known if you ordered that and told you we don’t have it”. She continues being rude and refusing to take any action until I, the customer and must I remind you, a teenager, have to diffuse the situation myself, telling her we must’ve had a miscommunication and that she can go. However, there’s still the issue of the Feta cheese pasta on our table, which we are not willing to eat nor pay for. We flag down the same waiter and again explain the situation, bracing for another sharp reaction. Fortunately he grasps the situation quickly and agrees to take the dish off our bill. We share the remaining one dish amongst eachother, but our dinner is ruined. The aforementioned waitress gives us a sour look as we leave. The food is fine, but after such horrible service, it leaves a bitter taste behind. We will not be dining here again, and you...

This was the worst dinner we’ve ever had in Greece! When we sat at our table( we’ve had reserved it from the night before), we were reading the menu, then we waited around 20 minutes for the waiter to come and take our order- but only the drinks we want. Then they bringed them, if we’re talking about problems- this was the smallest one.. The atmosphere was quite good but there were too many people for a restaurant. Also there were annoying cats that were begging for food all the time- they were CLIMBING our chairs. Time passed by, minutes after minites we were waiting for any waiter to come, we even called a waiter over 3 times- no one came! And if we are talking about a specific amount of time- it was an hour, a whole HOUR.And when a voice of ours was raised then, finaly a waiter came and took our order. Then, yes we waited more but thankfully it wasn’t more than half an hour. The food came. We ordered spaghetti with tomato sauce, calamari, souvlakis and greece salad. The spaghetti sauce was literal water, the calamaris were overfried,so we returned it. The souvlakis were okay, and the greece salad was good too. Then we noticed that the next table to ours has already gotten their meals and the problem is that they were sitten AFTER us!But when we told the waiter that the calamaris were overfried and we want to return them,he made us a face and denied it, he could of just agreed and apologized about the mess, he did not. Well at least the bill came fast, BUT as we all expected they included the calamaris too!! As i said we returned them! As a final I want to share with ya’ll that it is not worth it to go there, except if you want starve! The previous year was better! As a client of years and years I’m disappointed! They didn’t...

the worst dinner we had on the island! They gave us a table under a blue light lamp that was tiring our eyes and you can see how horrible it was in the pictures actually. And thats when things got even worse. There are only 3 people that are on service for the whole dining area, from which only ONE was the waiter that was taking orders. The rest two were one assistant (which was the only polite person) and one that is simply bringing the food from the kitchen to the table. So, we were trying to call the “main” waiter to our table just to take our order and he was DELIBERATELY ignoring us for more than 15 minutes! Meanwhile though he was taking orders from tables that he had just taken in. At some point the other guy that brings the dishes to the tables passed by and when i asked him to order, with one aggressive and rude hand gesture, he told us : “you will order when the waiter comes to you” and he just left. At some point and after i raised my voice to the younger assistant passing by, the waiter was forced to stopped ignoring us and he finally came to our table. We ordered two salads, fried calamari, buyiurdi, tzatziki, octopus in wine sauce ,anchovies and fries. The salads were bland but okay, the tzatziki was good the buyurdi was disgusting,as the cheese was simply swimming in the oil and water mixture, the fried calamari were so thinly sliced and overly fried that were like rubber, and the octopus in wine sauce was extremely acidic. The anchovies and fries were okay. For this we gave 80 euros. Overpriced for the low quality of food, but the burning point for me was the HORRIBLE attitude of the waiter towards us. We were also waiting for the bill to come more than 20 minutes. Unless you want to be treated...

I had grilled calamari and my girlfriend had the calamari stuffed with cheese. Both dishes were very good and at very good value for money. Unfortunately, our experience with the service was not so great as we waited around 40 minutes for the starters and at the end everything we have ordered came together. Admittedly it was busy, but not more than usual as we went there after the busiest period 20:00-21:00.
