After exploring Sithonia and being underwhelmed by some of the more famous beaches, we were pleasantly surprised to discover Balkonaki Beach Bar. It's the perfect spot for those looking to relax with a more chilled atmosphere. Unlike other nearby options like Totos, which plays loud techno beats throughout the day, Balkonaki offers a more mellow music selection with a lower volume, creating a peaceful vibe.

The beach itself has some rocks in the water, but it’s easy enough to clear a path and reach the sandbar just a few meters out. The prices here are quite reasonable for a beachfront bar, and the staff is laid-back and friendly, letting you unwind without any pressure.

The only criticism would be the beach chairs, which are of noticeably lower quality. I believe they should be replaced or repaired at the start of each season to improve the overall experience.

The taverna is the perfect spot to wander up to after a lazy morning in the sun a mere 20 metres from the gorgeous beach – ideal for both couples and families. This is a gorgeous, truly authentic Greek experience in a beautiful, less-explored corner of Greece. They have the best cocktails and drinks and then some of the best local food. They kill bees there! They put a bottle half full with water on purpose, so that the bees would go inside and die. There were a lot of dead bees in the bottle. They know that in the area there are bee keepers, however they decided to do this. The people who work there don’t care about it.
