Cute and quaint, family friendly restaurant at the far end of the main strip from our hotel. Enjoyed the stuffed pork chop (and my friend had the stuffed calamari). The pork was juicy and well seasoned. I was left wanting more of the mustard and would have preferred some additional served on the side as it was the right combination of flavors with it, the cheese and the roasted red peppers. While the french fries were hand cut and homemade, I would have preferred something else especially since I am from the US and can have fries any time. Options like a Greek side salad or fresh seasonal veggies would have made this dish more complete. The dining room was simple but elegant all while being family friendly. Finally, I love olive oil served with my bread. Maybe even with some balsamic vinegar. You get olives, but no oil. They are wonderful, but bread and oil…yummm! Enjoy this...
Read moreWe were off season but delighted to find this pretty restaurant on the boardwalk . We had two delicious dinners, one with shrimps with an ozo sauce, and lamb chops: the best we’ve had for many many years, melting in the mouth, tasty . Wonderful. the house wine was quite good and at a reasonable price. The fish soup we had on the second evening was quite different from a FRench fish soup, it was refined, tasty and delicate , with chunks of fresh fish in it. Very appreciated. Then the boss treated us to a very light dessert, a soft little pana cotta with butterscotch caramel, lovely.` And to make it perfect, an impeccable service, by a charming waitress, who knows how to make her clients comfortable and happy:discrete , attentionate, gracious, a real pleasure. All in all , a wonderful discovery which we...
Read moreI recently dined at Maistrali Restaurant, and while the location is undeniably beautiful, with its lovely seaside setting where you can hear the soothing sound of the waves, the food fell far short of expectations.
The dishes were unfortunately lacking in flavor. The wine list was quite poor, offering limited and uninspired choices. I ordered a hamburger, but it arrived without a bun, vegetables, or any sauce—just a dry patty on a plate. The salad was also disappointing, with hardly any seasoning to speak of.
The shrimp saganaki was the only redeeming dish, but even that was just okay. It's a shame because the setting is wonderful, but the food just doesn’t match up. If you're only after the view, it's a nice spot, but don't expect much...
