Zephyros Sea food restaurant - Itea — Restaurant in Delphi Municipality

This place is getting one star only due to the service of the sweet waitress. Unfortunately, it just bottoms out in terms of its food and the chef’s cooking skills. The oil used at this place must either be of the cheapest grade or it was spoiled. The toasted bread offered was also of bad quality. The mixed greens with cherry tomatoes salad was nothing more than meager wilted brown tasteless greens and the dressing was made with the horrible oil. We ordered the salad, calamari, french fries and broiled octopus. The salad and french fries came out very quickly but the potatoes were not crispy and also wilted. Once we finished with the salad and the french fries it took them over half an hour to bring out the rest of the order, the calamari and the octopus. The octopus was tough, bland, and floating in that nasty oil which kept me belching for the rest of the day. The calamari was edible but nothing special. It’s really a shame and a pity for a taverna on such a nice location to be serving such horrible food.

Απαράδεκτη ποιότητα φαγητού για ταβέρνα βρισκόμενη σε τόσο ωραία παραθαλάσσια τοποθεσία. Αν και η σερβιτόρα που μας εξυπηρέτησε ήταν πολύ γλυκιά, δυστυχώς ο μάγειρας της ήταν επιεικώς ανίδεος στην τέχνη της μαγειρικής και η ποιότητα των υλικών της κατώτερης στάθμης. Λάδι αμφίβολης προέλευσης / ποιότητας, ανάμεικτη σαλάτα με λαχανικά μαραγκιασμένα, ντέσινκ άνοστο, πατάτες τηγανητές σαν λάστιχο, ψημένο ψωμί σαν ξερό χόρτο, χταποδάκι άτονο, σκληρό και λουσμένο στο αποκρουστικό λάδι και καλαμαράκια που ίσα ίσα τρώγονταν. Η σαλάτα και οι πατάτες ήρθα γρήγορα αλλά το χταπόδι και τα καλαμαράκια μετά από ένα μισάωρο και αφού είχαμε ήδη χάσει την όρεξη και τη διάθεσή μας από την αρχική απογοήτευση που είχαμε...

One star is only for the atmosphere, the dining on the beach experience. The food was bad. We wanted to order something else but The waiter lied to us by telling us that he had some special extra fresh fish. How did we fall for that? Why didn’t we ask for refund? Well, it is hard to prove we were scammed, that the fish was just before turning garbage ,so we just paid the 100 for 2 persons staying hungry and we will know better not to trust anyone again. I was really looking forward to trying this place, but unfortunately the experience was overshadowed by the atmosphere. The food itself was decent, but it was hard to enjoy because the older man who seems to be the owner spent most of the time loudly yelling at his staff and speaking to them in a very disrespectful way.
