For starters its worth mentioning that the staff were under a heavy workload when me and my friends went. With that out of the way I can say the food was surprisingly great and fairly priced. I personally got the chicken fillet with mushroom sauce, and even though Im a picky eater and expected to dislike the sauce i found it to be the biggest merit of the dish. my friends got burgers and steaks and all enjoyed them. The place is nice looking, nothing out of this world but 0 complaints there. However I cant quite say the same abou the service. Aside from the food taking slightly longer than expected, which can be pardoned considering the circumstances, a pretty big episode took place. There was a cat in the restaurant (indoors) which was climbing onto customers tables and approaching their food. When gestured to do something about it, the waitress pretended like nothing was wrong. The affected customer at that time then explicitly asked her to remove the cat from his table, to which she replied "what am I supposed to do?". The customer walked out and dined elsewhere. Me and everyone else found that very unsavory, however having been fortunate enough to not be involved in the cat drama, we had nothing short of an exceptional...
Read moreThe place is nice and well designed. The location is ideal near the waterfalls. The waiters were nice but not very agile. My review is 3 stars because from what I heard and read i was expecting way better food. The tricolore mushrooms were tasteless and without any salt. The salad with the cherries was inside a parmesan-cheese nest which was very chewy. This happens only when the nest is made at least 5 hours ago so this method should be used ONLY if you have the time to make it on the spot. Fresh. Otherwise just put normal, raw parmesan flakes and you are good to go! Meatballs is considered a signature dish and the tomato sos was ready (pumaro) and not hand made. This is unacceptable for a place like this. Only dish that I enjoyed was the chicken kontosouvli which was nicely grilled. So all in all, bland food with many cooking fouls. I saw on the walls some taste awards. This could only have happened if on 2019 that they won it, they had a different chef. So, hire him/her again because if you change the taste you can go...
Read moreThis restaurant was the last stop before leaving Greece and I must admit, it’ll forever hold a special place in my heart.
I got the mpatzos with marmalade, fried feta with a sesame crust drizzled with honey, and the meat variety platter. The portions are generous and everything was well seasoned and delicious. We also got a delicious sponge cake soaked in syrup that was paired with ice cream topped with pralines - it was very light and delicate.
The staff was very warm and welcoming. Tables and dinnerware was clean. Hand sanitizer was provided at every table. It’s nice, cool, and shaded so it’s the perfect place to grab lunch after exploring the falls (which is in walking distance).
Overall, I had a lovely experience and I hope to return in the...
