Yummy and affordable, that's the summary. If you can't read Greek, like us, just ask the young guy. All the suggestions were so good we left nothing on the plates. The meat dishes were generally better than the fish but, still, everything was good. And the bill was so reasonable we went back the next day.

We were there during the hottest days of July's heat wave and the place was still comfortable enough. The big tree, after which the place is named, and the river keep things cool within reasonable levels.

Kafeneio Platanos is in a great location, perfect for enjoying lunch or dinner by the canal. The atmosphere beneath the large tree is truly special, offering a relaxing and picturesque setting. The food is quite good, though it falls short of being exceptional. It's a great spot to sit back with a drink and enjoy a decent meze.
