Dodoni Frikes — Restaurant in Ithaca Municipality

This is one of two Dodoni ice cream Parlours on the island (the other is in Vathy) and we also saw one in Fiskardo on Kefalonia so the chain is doing well for itself! 👍In fact it was a written comment in the feedback book by a previous guest of the place we were staying at that sent us here. I couldn't believe it, we went for breakfast and we asked if they would open the umbrella as the sun was blaring down on us, only to be told that they couldn't open the umbrella because of the wind. What wind there was a small breeze, definitely not enough to harm a harmless umbrella. Then they want to know why tourism is dropping on the island. Excellent Cafe , really pleasant staff great service and lovely ice cream. The Coffee is superb - we had a latte which was served in a large cup and was hot! So good that even though we were staying the other side of Stavros we returned for more coffee. The cafe is right on the harbour side and always in the sun, itbhas sheltered seating right next to the harbour....
