Disappointing Experience with Poor Service and Long Wait Times

I recently visited Mythos Restaurant Itaka and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. Despite arriving at the restaurant and placing our order promptly, we were left waiting for over an hour for our food to arrive. When we inquired about the delay, the waiter offered a dubious explanation, claiming that another table, which had arrived after us, was served first because they were locals who had called ahead to order. It is going for a tavern aiming to "milk" the unsuspecting tourists, who are spending one or a few days stay in the Ithaca island (occasional and not repetitive tourists to the place). Prices of offered plates is at highest level, without being supported by equivalent quality and quantity. Portions are minimal, not sufficient even for a child. Nothing special, even for the quality. We arrived at the port on September, 17, 2023 on the Catamaran “Big Easy” . Our Captain, Christian, made reservations for our group of eight. We arrived at 1930 and our waiter and host “Alex” greeted us and provided our first round of drinks. We finished those drinks and ordered four appetizers and four main courses. Alex kept the food and drinks coming as we celebrated amongst friends. The food and atmosphere on the water were awesome. Alex is a true friend and host and we enjoyed joking and laughing with him.
