Recent review of the greek night parties Ellas Tavern hosts: We ve recently been to one of the greek nights this tavern hosts on wednesday. I was a bit afraid because some bad reviews but here is my experience: this is how much food we got for 70€ (35/person): wine, water, bread, tzatziki spread, greek salad, green salad, one platter of calamari, fish and 3 grilled shrimps and a big fish. We also order another glass of wine which we didn’t pay for. Besides, you also pay for the experience not only for the food. Yes, there is a fixed menu even tho we didn’t come with a guide as one review bellow said (they let you know about this beforehand). I reckon they do this because it can get very busy really fast so they wouldn’t be able to honor all orders in time otherwise. Food was good tho, we enjoyed it. You need a reservation made ahead. Call yourself to make the reservation to avoid paying more for the tour guide. Regarding what hour you should be there, the waiter i spoke with on the phone said 8-9, but the show (and the guided tours) arrive after 9:30. Regarding the show, the dancers were really nice, they started with Zorbas and after a while everyone engaged in dancing. They even showed you the correct steps if you want to dance beside them. About the shattering plates, don’t be afraid, you will get a chance to throw plates around because they have plenty of boxes to give around to everyone. If you like dances, traditional parties, are open minded and not expect something personalized to you, this is great. You will be enjoying it alongside people of all ages so be mindful of that. It can get a little noisy so be mindful of babies (even though there were some babies sleeping thru the whole thing) They don’t light the fire anymore, i understand it’s because of the police. Overall these were the things i wanted to know before booking this experience, hope the review helps! We enjoyed it, the waiters were extremely friendly, engaging with customers and even in dancing in the party. There is also a moment for kids where Sonic the Hedgehog comes🤣They also have some romanian manele (a few, max 5) so dont be shocked. We recommend the experience especially because there aren’t many taverns that do...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining Taverna Ellas, and it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment we arrived, the warm and welcoming atmosphere made us feel right at home. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring that every aspect of our meal was perfect. The seafood here is simply outstanding. Each dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The fried calamary and shrimp linguine were absolute standouts, bursting with rich and authentic Greek flavors. The attention to detail in the preparation and presentation of the food is truly commendable. Overall, taverna Ellas exceeded all my expectations. If you're a seafood lover, this gem in Halkidiki is a must-visit. I can't wait to return and try more of their...
Read moreWe chose this place because it had good reviews, but I don't understand where those come from. The food was horrible. I got the moussaka, but I couldn't eat it and nor could my husband. We shared his portion of pork souvlaki, since that was at least edible. The meat tasted old and the fries so oily... Not to mention that they didn't even have coffee with milk. I ordered a cappuccino (it was in the menu), but they only had greek coffee (horrible) and something they called frappe (instant coffee with lots of water). I honestly don't think I've had worse food at a...
