Bistro 49 — Restaurant in Katerini Municipality

Had our ways by luck here and we were so lucky this day as it was over crowded with people. No tables available but we asked if they could arrange something for me and my 7 year daughter. They immediately found a solution giving us an extra table to sit by the bar. So friendly staff! Thank you so much for this kindness, the pasta was delicious and great big portions with amazing good prices. I have been to many places worldwide and this pasta is outstanding and definitely top five I have ever had. Anyhow what made me so happy was that this restaurant became the favourite of my daughter and we of course came back again! Only this time the very friendly staff of the restaurant gave us a very pleasant surprise afterwards. Me and my daughter got a tiramisu all for free, just because they loved us coming back and enjoying our company. We have again the same pasta bolognaise and it was all over again an outstanding dish. We are so happy finding this little pearl with great environment and super nice people that runs it. I mean look at the pictures, it says it all! Bistro49 in Katerini is an absolute gem. It combines excellent quality with very fair prices, making it one of the best value-for-money choices in town. The portions are generous, and every dish feels satisfying without ever compromising on taste.

Nice place, but the service does not have integrity. Sometimes flawless, sometimes ridiculously bad. Tonight we were served by a guy who started to clean the table while we were finishing our meal. And it was not a long dinner, just 1h after we sat to eat. Absolutely inappropriate. The cash receipt was not clear, wrong items in it (overall I suppose it was correct after all), and it was even not provided at first. We needed to insist for it, so to split bill with friends.

All the rush was obliviously because the table was promised to someone else in the meantime.
