2 Stars – Style Over Substance
Podas Patisserie and Restaurant certainly looks the part—elegant interiors, curated plating, and an atmosphere that aims for upscale dining. Unfortunately, the experience doesn’t quite match the aesthetic.
We were a party of three, and each dish was brought out individually as it was ready. This meant some of us sat waiting with food in front of us, unsure whether to start or let it go cold. For a restaurant trying to position itself as refined, this lack of coordination was disappointing.
The Dakos looked promising but fell flat in flavour. The cheese completely overpowered the dish, and the meagre amount of tomato didn’t provide the freshness you'd expect from this classic. The arancini were similarly underwhelming—bland overall, with truffle oil so strong it overwhelmed any subtlety the dish might’ve had.
The one standout was the beef cheeks—tender, rich, and well-balanced. Easily the best thing we tried.
As for service, staff seemed more interested in chatting amongst themselves than checking on guests. Service wasn’t rude, but it lacked attentiveness and polish.
In short: lots of potential, but the execution isn’t there yet. A few tweaks in the kitchen and more engaged service could turn this into the upscale spot it...

The menu is created by the famous Greek chef Sotiris Eveggelou and his chef Dimitris Tziovaras. Menu includes some of the most finest recipes (try the Spaghetti Vongole it's delicious!). Ask for dishes that are special and let the team offer you an amazing experience. Not to forget: Ceasars salad.with homemade sauce, crunchy iceberg is unique, and regarding the desserts, you will be surprised!! First time we went in the day with a Greek friend who ordered for us and we tried frappe, freddo, pouting, silage and truffle for the first time ever and realised we must go back. The second time was friday night, it was packed and we sat inside but unfortunately left quickly as the indoor smoking triggered my friends asthma. We order the same as before, you must look at the desserts first and then order with the wait staff. The place had a great vibe, we ordered some Baklava to go which is just yum. The 3rd time we ordered baklava to take back to London! And I tried the chocolate covered baklava...this is a monster and impossible to finish in 1 go so we packed this up too. This time we had Aperol Spritz which came with 4 mini quiches and nuts as part of the order, this is unheard of in the UK and I was very impressed. London Bars should do this!
