We were touring the beautiful region of Greece around mount Olympus, home of the Greek Gods, and stopped for half a day at the city of Katerini. We ran into this very cute and cozy restaurant called Kitchen Pasta, located very conveniently in the very center of the town, few steps from an outdoor parking lot -which was great as parking in the streets is often a hassle-. We felt like having Italian food so we decided we give it a try. The staff was very polite and friendly and made us feel at home. Our waiter explained that the pasta was all fresh, home made, and unique. Following some of his recommendations we ordered a quinoa salad -we had Greek salads for the past several days and wanted to try something different-, one of their pizzas with buffalo mozzarella cheese and three of their signature tortellini dishes that sounded really good. The salad arrived first and it was really wonderful. Very tasty, balanced, fresh and healthy. Soon the pizza and pasta arrived. This was the point where we got all so pleasantly surprised. The food was simply superb! All pastas we tried were top notch quality, tasting simply amazing. The tortellini we tried were filled with a variety of exquisite Greek and Cyprus cheeses and with fresh Greek vegetables and herbs. Some were vegetarian while others included unique traditional Greek meat cuts, or salmon. The sauces were delicate and perfectly accompanied the dishes. All ingredients were perfectly combined, giving each dish an elegant and distinct Greek flair. Absolutely amazing! Unique tastes, perfectly balanced! Same for the pizza! Could not be better. The Nemea wine we selected from the extensive list of Greek and Italian wines was a perfect match and made this evening the culinary highlight of our trip. We travel a lot in many countries and must say that rarely we encounter such gems! Thank you Kitchen Pasta! You...
Read moreI had the immense pleasure of dining at Kitchen Pasta recently and I must say, it was a delightful experience from start to finish.
Firstly, the staff at Kitchen Pasta deserves a standing ovation. They were the epitome of politeness and made sure that our needs were taken care of with a warm smile. Their welcoming presence contributed greatly to the cozy and homely atmosphere that enveloped the restaurant.
Now, let’s talk about the star of the show - the food! One of the standout features of Kitchen Pasta is their fresh pasta. It's evident that a lot of care goes into preparing it, and the variety offered is impressive.
We started off with the Caesar’s salad, which was a great beginning to our meal. The chicken tasted as fresh as can be, and the sauce had just the right amount of tanginess to complement the flavors of the salad perfectly.
The Pesto Fettuccine was next, and it was an absolute delight. The pesto sauce was light, which is something I appreciate, and didn’t overpower the dish while still packing a punch in terms of flavor.
As for the Original Carbonara Spaghetti, if you're a fan of classic Italian dishes, you'd be remiss not to try it. The freshness of the ingredients really shone through, and it was beautifully prepared.
To round off the meal, we indulged in a Panacotta. Not only was it very tasty, but the presentation was absolutely impeccable - a feast for both the eyes and the palate. It was the perfect ending to a fantastic meal.
Kitchen Pasta has crafted a welcoming environment with exceptionally polite staff and a menu that shines with fresh ingredients and well-made pasta. If you're looking for a heartwarming Italian meal, this is the place to be.

Read moreCome to this restaurant for fresh pasta! We have ordered tortellini filled with chicken with Arrabbiata sauce and a Pizza with Buratta cheese, rucola, olive oil, prosciutto crude and nice tomato sauce. The pizza dough was very tasty but the toppings reminded me more of a salad than a pizza. Take into account that burrata cheese is a very nice and cold creamy cheese. So if your taste is closer to a traditional pizza with warm toppings it is better that you choose another pizza. The service was quite slow and it took them 45 min to bring us the pasta. We have also requested parmezaan with the pasta and they only brought it after 10 min. Something I didn’t like also is that they didnt come to pick up the dishes and ask if we would like any dessert or any other drink or if we liked the food. I think service should be a bit more attentive in this case. The service needs much improvement or maybe more resources. The pasta was actually very nice and fresh! So my rating of 4/5 corresponds more to the food and the environment...
