Serifis Steakhouse — Restaurant in Katerini Municipality

Maybe the best steak I have ever had. Absolute perfection! Staff have been really kind and helpful and definitely were experienced with deep knowledge of meat, since they are both producers, sellers and restaurant owners of this fabulous meat orientated tavern in Katerini. We have visited the place one Tuesday evening and though located in an area of Katerini rather suburban and quiet there were plenty of customers. We were 2 and we had one 400gr beef steak (I still recall the taste) grilled to perfection and excellent aged, 1 pork schnitzel (juicy and extremely generous in portion), grilled pork belly (delicious) and grilled pork chops (also) delicious. We accompanied them with traditional cabbage salad, tzatziki and tirokafteri (all exceptionally well made the latter made off real feta cheese). Mind you all salads contain real extra virgin olive oil which owners don't stint on (another plus). Portions come with real homemade fried potatoes as garnish but the quantity tends to be larger than that so you want to keep that in mind. Last but not least we had 2 types of house's wine (about 500ml each) red dry wine and semi sweet red wine both excellent (the semi sweet left an aftertaste of berries). They have offered us dessert (they prepare it almost daily) again wellmade with moderate sweetness. Though 2 we have had 4 mains so the pleasant surprise was the reasonable pricing at about €60 total. In about 10 days I will be visiting Katerini for business reasons so I definitely will be a happy returning customer! If you decide to visit it please keep in mind this is not a place suitable for vegetarians and vegans also keep in mind they specialise in beef/ veal so for the best of your experience choose...

I’ve eaten a lot of really good veal in my life but the veal in this place, prepared according to a 40 year old recipe, was just exquisite!!! Seriously not only the veal was god, but all the meze dishes (fried zucchini, baked aubergine with feta, feta in honey, village salad, tatziki…) that we tried were absolutely top notch, vine was delicious as well as were the complementary cherries on top ;) Btw all the meat comes from the family’s own farm! There is no English menu, but rest assured the owner will do everything to communicate with you what is good and what to eat!
