After two hours of waiting we found ourselves still begging to be served. Staff is not trained. Food was not on offer , simply awol. Manners are absent. There are no stories to be experienced at Cousteau all bay restaurant( a euphymism at best) other than unprofessionalism, grief and frustration. This is not a restaurant by all measures and accounts. It is an accidental gathering of untrained and impolite individuals claiming they can offer catering and atmosphere. All they offer is chaos. A disgrace for Kea island. Kea municipality and the Greek Ministry of Tourism have a responsibility to warn visitors away from such establishments. We’ve been travelling all our lives all around the Aegean and Ionian and have been to a plethora of good restaurants in the Aegean. Our expectations were always tempered and taking into consideration all factors involved. We had some good experiences and some bad which is understandable. None like this though. If you are market man this is definitely...
Read moreOur first stop on our Cyclades tour proved to be eventful.
We ordered a lot of starters and was pleasantly surprised with the quality, speed and efficiency of the service.
We opted for 3 big fish for dinner among the 10 of us and it was fresh, well prepared and served nicely.
The place had a nice vibe with pools of tables in different levels.
Good bathroom facilities and nice decor.
Amongst the starters, we had sea urchins which tasted off, sweetened and poorly refrigerated and proved to be the culprit of 4 of us having stomach issues 8-12 hours later. I would highly recommend avoiding this dish.
Prices were above average for a less touristy island, you'd expect around 75+80€ per person for a full meal with 2 starters, bottle of wine and a main course.
The overall experience did not justify the price but would give it another go next time I'm...
Read moreThe restaurant has a beautiful location, especially at sunset. The staff were kind, helpful, and gave us good information about the menu. Unfortunately, the food did not live up to our expectations. The Simi shrimps were served in a deep bowl, which made the ones at the bottom soft and no longer crispy. The feta wrapped in filo pastry didn’t taste authentic or traditional. The linguine with clams (vongole) had too much lemon and was swimming in butter, which overpowered the seafood flavor. The rest of the dishes were just okay—not terrible, but nothing special. However, when we saw the bill, it became clear that this place is mainly targeting tourists. For the price, we felt the food should have been much better. There are definitely nicer and more authentic restaurants on the island that offer better...
