Where do I start? The atmosphere is beautiful, breathtaking views, great relaxing music, but the bees are the worst here!!! I can’t emphasize enough how annoying and disturbing the wasps are in this place. This was our first meal in Lefkada and we were willing to love this place since it had amazing reviews. But once the food came we were attacked by a pack of bees. Our 4 years old started screaming and everything became a nightmare. In their defense, the whole island has these bees attackes, but I honestly expected them to be more prompt and prepared. We had to change tables, to have an enjoyable meal. But when it comes to food, it did not meet our expectactions. My fried calamari was extremely salted, to the point that I couldn’t finish my meal, the fried anchovies were bitter and salty, the bread steal and the octopus saggy. The only meal that was enjoyable was our white wine steamed mussels. Everything plus a bottle of sparkling water, 1 beer and 1 glass of white wine was 76 euros. Appetizers only and drinks. Overall an unwelcoming place with no character. What shame to waste that view! Despite the glowing reviews of others, we had a pretty poor experience. Such a shame. The restaurant was a few minutes from the hotel and we would have visited more than once if the promise of the view from the terrace. The place was very quiet when we arrived. We were met by an older fellow who made absolutely no effort to make us feel welcome. He took the order and seemed unimpressed perhaps that we on only ordered house wine and one starter to share. He then brought the main courses along with the appetiser. And pretended he didn’t understand what I was saying when I tried to explain Tzatziki was listed in the appetiser section of the menu, too late anyway seeing as I’d ordered Sea Bass and wouldn’t want that hanging around in the kitchen. Prices are a lil' bit higher than in most of others restaurants out here, but the food and the service are really worth it. The food was one of the tastiest in the entire Greece from my experience, the portions were big and beautiful and the service was quick and just good. And about the view. The view is wonderful! Although it's pretty windy here, but that little titbit doesn't really harm the experience that much: you can always go inside the building, but you want have that beautiful view you would have.
