We are a South African family who booked 2 rooms through Jet2Holidays, and were very impressed with this stunning resort. One of our rooms was sea facing and the other had a side sea view. The rooms are well appointed with a lounge area and a balcony which is useful for drying wet towels on the provided clothes horse. My grandson's camp cot was in the room when we arrived. The bathrooms are quite small, but functional. A nice touch was to receive a 500ml bottle of water per person every day. There is also a mini fridge where you can keep drinks bought outside the hotel cold for consumption in the rooms. The aircon is of a very good standard.||The hotel is situated on quite a steep hillside, and there are many steps from the rooms to reception or down to the sea. This may be a problem for people with mobility issues, although there is a cart which can be used. We were pleased that the stairs gave us a chance to walk off some of the amazing food consumed.||We stayed on a half board basis, with buffet breakfasts and dinners. Each night for 7 nights the dinner buffet had a theme, which was then repeated the following week. The food was of a very high standard for a buffet. In fact, I can say it is the best buffet food I've ever had! Breakfasts had everything hot or cold one could think of, and the dinners offered at least 4 or more different salads, as well as a build your own salad section. There were at least 10 ore more hot dishes and also a build your own section based around the theme for the night eg burgers at BBQ night, bao buns at Asian night etc. Not many buffets offer a comprehensive sushi choice, but this was offered at Asian night. There were also various shrimp/prawn and calamari/squid combinations offered too, as well as the most delicious carvery meats, like roast pork, turkey, beef etc.||There are a number of pool areas with loungers besides the private beach area. We never had a problem finding loungers. Just a reminder that the beach is not sandy, but made of small to medium sized pebbles, so sand shoes are useful. Food and drink service is available on the beach and around the pools through an app called Exclusivi, and it works well.||We had our 21 month old grandson with us, and the staff were always very kind to him. Special thanks to Evmorphia (I hope I spelt her name correctly) who was fantastic with him. We did take him to the very well-equipped Children's Club so that he could use the equipment there under our supervision. Over 4 year olds can be left there with the child minder. The gym was also well equipped.||There are a few small things which could possibly be improved on, although they did not really spoil our holiday. We would have liked a few more water activities available. There was only one 2-man canoe as the others were broken, and there could have been a few more SUPs. Perhaps there could also have been jetskis or little boats available for hire. The hotel is not near a supermarket and you need to take the bus into Nidri or Nikiana to go and buy soft drinks or extra water as the price of these is a lot higher in the resort. Eg Vikos lemonade for 250ml is €5, compared to a can of Sprite for €1 in the supermarket. Water is even more expensive in the hotel compared to the supermarket. The bus stop is right out side and costs €2 pp each way, however, there are not very many buses and they are often full when passing the hotel. Three other small cons are that the empty plates are sometimes not cleared away promptly, and there are plenty of wasps, which are very disconcerting with a baby around. I know they are part of nature, and the hotel does try and burn coffee to chase them, but I think more can be done. They are wasps which actually prefer proteins to sugars, not like regular bees. We would also have liked to have had a bit more entertainment in the evenings. On 2 nights a week there were 2 people signing Greek songs just outside the restaurant, but it would have been nice to have had some extra music or dancing available.||We did hire a car one day and drove round to the west. However, be advised that the roads there are very windy and narrow, and the beaches are very inaccessible via a steep road down from the main road, often costing €10 or more to park and then another €25 for loungers and an umbrella. They are magnificent though! ||If we ever return to beautiful Lefkada (which is way less touristy than many other Greek islands, so we really loved it) we would definitely choose Porto Galini...

The good things: Resort is stunning, well-kept, full of vegetation and flowers, everything is taken care of with attention. The hotel area is clean and beautiful. The private beach is one of the most beautiful I've seen, tiny stones (no need for special shoes), quiet, clear water, you can see the fish. You can take as many sap boards and kayaks from the lifeguard (free) as you want, there is a waiter on the beach from 11 am to 6 pm and there is a nice menu of food, drinks and alcohol. The pools are also clean and pleasant, we were mostly at the beach. There is no music on the beach or at the pool, so a pleasant silence, and a relaxed atmosphere. The breakfast is great, you can arrive between 7.30 and 11am and it is very convenient for both early risers and late sleepers. Lots of choice and we all enjoyed ourselves. The staff is all nice, alert, available and patient. We took a 2-room suite, which was large, spacious and bright. A very comfortable double bed, towels are changed when requested, large beach towels, kettle, coffee and tea. A huge balcony overlooking the sea. For the bad sides: In the suite - 2 sinks, in one the flow of water is too weak and quite impossible, second one immediately clogs. In the bath - a stream of water that is sometimes hot and sometimes cold, and you can't do anything with it. Just got cold water and then hot water throughout the shower. Imagine children showering like this. we contacted reception, they sent a technician but it didn't solve the problem and all our showers were while we were alert. The air conditioner - didn't cool enough, doesn't manage to cool the room when it's very hot outside. Pleasant in the evening, but not cold enough during the day. they sent a technician who worked for a long time in the room, and the problem was not solved. We were left with puddles on the floor and I had to ask the receptionist for a maid to come and clean. The air conditioners are outdated, low down close to the floor, and not well function. In the bedroom - only one Electrical outlet!!! You have to bend down between the wall and the table, move the table to reach it, and connect the kettle. I left it like that, because it is impossible to go through this whole story every time just to switch between appliances. all phone charging, etc. had to be done in the central room, where there were more sockets. A big disadvantage - it is not possible to darken the room. The curtains are not color block and in the morning when the sun rises, the whole room is bathed in light. The refrigerator leaked a little on the floor as well. There is no chance to sit on the balcony throughout the day, because there is no shade. The hotel staff know these problems - they knew about the air conditioner and also about the water alternating between cold and hot, but they act as if it's the first time they've heard this and never apologize, for Nothing. The sentence "I'm sorry to hear" just doesn't come out of their mouths, No empathy, no compensation, it is what it is. When it comes to a suite that costs 410 euros per night, this is unacceptable, unprofessional and disappointing. There is always a way to make a guest feel better, even if there is no solution to the problem. Always. And I think that in a hotel of such a 5-star level, it should be an integral part of the service and completely basic. The beach beds - you must arrive early to grab beds, otherwise there are none. Around 10-11am all the beds and parasols are occupied. The play facilities in the game room cost money, each use was paid for. In a hotel where a few individual games are the only activity the children have, and at such a level of 5-star luxury, it was possible to waive the payment and allow free use. In conclusion: God is in the details. And in the small details they failed. The place is amazing, calm, pleasant, clean and beautiful. We enjoyed our stay there. But the reception staff's handling of the problems in the room was inappropriate and insulting And certainly not in any way suitable for a hotel that...

A Blissful Retreat at Porto-Galini Seaside Resort & Spa

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Porto-Galini Seaside Resort & Spa for a blissful ten-day vacation, and I must say that my experience surpassed all expectations. From the moment I arrived until the day of my departure, I was treated with the utmost care, and every aspect of my stay was exceptional.

First and foremost, I was impressed by the impeccable level of service provided by the staff. From the warm welcome at check-in to the attentive assistance throughout my stay, the staff members at Porto-Galini went above and beyond to ensure my comfort. They were always friendly, professional, and eager to accommodate any request or inquiry I had. Their genuine warmth and dedication truly made me feel like a valued guest.

The quality and variety of food offered at the resort were outstanding. Every meal was a culinary delight, with an abundance of fresh, flavorful dishes that catered to a range of tastes and dietary preferences. Whether it was the delectable breakfast buffet, the tantalizing themed dinners, or the delightful poolside snacks, every bite was a testament to the resort's commitment to culinary excellence. The attentive and courteous waitstaff made dining experiences even more enjoyable, providing top-notch service with a smile.

Cleanliness was another area where Porto-Galini excelled. The resort was meticulously maintained, and every corner exuded a sense of freshness. The rooms were spotless, and housekeeping ensured they were tidied up promptly and with great attention to detail. The public areas, including the pool, spa, and dining areas, were consistently neat and tidy, creating an inviting and hygienic environment.

One of the highlights of my stay was the spa facility. The tranquil ambiance and serene atmosphere immediately put me at ease, and the range of treatments and therapies on offer was impressive. The skilled therapists provided exceptional care, and the spa experience was a true indulgence for the senses. It was the perfect way to unwind and rejuvenate amidst the beauty of the resort.

The location of Porto-Galini was also a major plus. Being situated along the picturesque east coast of Lefkada island, I was treated to breathtaking views and the soothing sound of the Ionian Sea throughout my stay. The resort's proximity to Lefkada town and Nydri allowed me to explore the island's attractions easily, adding a touch of adventure to my vacation.

In conclusion, my experience at Porto-Galini Seaside Resort & Spa was nothing short of exceptional. The combination of outstanding services, friendly and attentive staff, delightful cuisine, impeccable cleanliness, and the idyllic location made my stay truly memorable. I would wholeheartedly recommend this resort to anyone seeking a luxurious and rejuvenating escape. I can't wait to return to this little slice of paradise...

Well, where should I begin? Porto Galini is laid out like a charming little village, offering everything you could wish for—spa, three restaurants, a mini-market, three swimming pools, both indoor and outdoor bars, and a children’s play area. Its layout and color palette strongly reminded me of Santorini. Highlights: • Breakfast: This is where Porto Galini truly shines. The variety is remarkable, with countless options to sample, all living up to their promise in taste. • Cleanliness: Full respect to the housekeeping and maintenance teams, who go above and beyond to ensure that your room is spotless when you return from a day at the beach or exploring the town. • Accessibility: Given the resort’s size, there are three parking areas (two at the entrance and one right next to the children’s playground). Whenever you need help with your luggage, someone is always ready to assist you with a vehicle to make transport effortless. Areas for improvement: • Internet: If you don’t rely heavily on it, you’ll manage. In certain spots within the room, you may get a few bars of signal, but it’s far from reliable. Ironically, the strongest connection is found on the beach. • Beach: While the beach is medium-sized, beautiful, and covered in small pebbles, sunbeds are limited. You either need to claim a spot early or risk finding none available. An interesting surprise was the water temperature—unlike other resorts I’ve visited, this is by far the coldest, even at 2 or 4 p.m. This is likely due to the mountainous terrain surrounding the area. Overall, my stay here was a thoroughly enjoyable few days, and I can confidently say Porto Galini deserves its star rating—especially when compared to other accommodations in the Lefkada region.

Five stars without a doubt from me! 😊 Where to start... All the staff are incredibly attentive, kind, and helpful. The check-in process was super quick and very pleasant — exactly what you need after a night flight. Small details throughout the hotel are truly tuned to perfection. I usually travel a lot and don’t spend much time at the hotel, but here I actually wanted to stay as much as possible — it made me feel really comfortable and relaxed. The breakfast and dinner were both delicious, with plenty of variety for everyone. Dinners have a different theme every evening, so the food never feels repetitive. The staff are always attentive, and the food is regularly replenished — even if you show up for breakfast just before it ends. The hotel setting is beautiful, and I love the Greek-style architecture. The rooms have everything you need. For active guests, there are lots of options: paddleboards, kayaks, tennis courts, and beach volleyball. There's also a lovely area for yoga or stretching. Wi-Fi is stable throughout the resort, which is great if you need to get a bit of work done. One small note: the hotel is set on a gentle hillside, so there are quite a few stairs — something to keep in mind if you have mobility issues. I love nature, and this place is a dream — crystal-clear sea, lots of greenery, and stunning views. No cars, no traffic, no tall buildings. Just peace. 😊 This hotel is definitely worth a visit. Thank you, Porto Galini Seaside Resort & Spa, for a wonderful stay!
