Telegraphos — Restaurant in Lefkada Municipality

(Edit June 2024) We gave this restaurant a second shot and are very glad we did. We were offered a super, sea facing table on arrival. It appears that the restaurant has been moved closest to the beach whereas last year this a area was reserved for drinks and sundowners. A great improvement.

Service too has improved by an order of magnitude. It was quick, efficient and friendly with several staff extremely busy but making sure everything was correct. The food was served promptly and was piping hot and exactly as ordered. I had the pork Snitzel in a rich tomato sauce. It was crisp and delicious. The sauce was great. Portion enormous. My wife ordered chicken fillets with a sesame coating and a honey sauce with a small salad, also excellent. We had a single side order of rice. For dessert we shared a delicious, home made strawberry cheesecake, also substantial and plenty for 2. Prices are still reasonable though the local wines are a little pricey. The restaurant was very busy by the time we left, vastly improving the atmosphere. Really worth a visit and now on our highly recommend list for Lefkada.

(2023 June) We had a reasonable meal at this restaurant, though the service was poor, slow and lacked attention, even when there were few diners in the restaurant at around 7pm. We carefully ordered one dish with chips and another with a salad, but both came with chips. Rather than simply fixing this waiter error, he offered to sell us an additional salad; a very poor show :( Additionally, I ordered pork neck steak but received pork snitzel. Near enough, I did not make a fuss. The food quality was very good and portion sizes generous. The issues all surrounded service. The setting is a bit random too and lacks atmosphere despite being beach facing as the restaurant is set back in...

Arrived with a birthday party of about ten with more on their way , ordered drinks and looked at the mile long menu only to be told that Al of the house specialities were not available and the alarm bells started ringing already . When we wanted more drinks we had to go to the bar to get them out selfs because the waiter was busy chatting up girls and showing the videos on his phone. We ordered starters and main courses , the starters were rather nice but within 5 minutes of having received the starters all the main courses started arriving so we told the waiter that it was to soon to serve the mains , when we the were ready to eat the mains arrived , half the mains were served stone cold the tuna was somewhere between undercooked and tasting off , the octopus had the consistency of a motorcycle tyre and consisted of one mere tentacle , chicken was dry and inedible , more of the party arrived and got their wine served with little water glasses instead of wine glasses , by then we were completely fed up and wanted to just pay and leave but the waiter was of course busy chatting to another girl , what a horrible experience , avoid this restaurant at all costs it really is not...
