ORMOS Λουτράκι — Restaurant in Loutraki-Perachora-Agioi Theodoroi Municipality

This is the first time we are taking the time to write a review for a restaurant – because Ormos is THAT GOOD and we felt that strongly about leaving our comments about Ormos. We try to travel to Loutraki every summer, as much as we can. Thus, we have had the opportunity to have eaten at many different restaurants in the Loutraki/Corinth/Isthmia area. We have been to a few excellent restaurants Corinth and Isthmia also. Each year we will go to some of our favorites as well as trying out new restaurants recommended by our relatives who live in both Loutraki and Corinth. Therefore, we don’t usually go to the same place twice during our stay. We made an exception with Ormos and went twice during our 2 week stay. The food, the service and the hospitality were all fantastic! They have an interesting story where the chef and the head waiter are brothers, they both worked there for years for the previous owner and now they both own the restaurant for the past year or so. Their mother and father also help out in the kitchen. The food is absolutely fresh, authentic and delicious. Their attention to freshness and quality is unsurpassable as the two brothers themselves go out onto the Corinthian Gulf, twice a week at 4:30 am, to dive and spearfish the seafood that they serve, before they go to the restaurant to work the rest of the day and into the night. They also have a plot of land on the outskirts of Loutraki where they raise their own livestock to supply Ormos with fresh meats (chicken, lamb, goat, etc)!

We were able to meet and speak with their mother for a while who was very friendly, lovely and hospitable.

I do not want to forget to mention that Ormos has a live Greek band that plays Greek music on the weekends (and they make room for dancing also). Most other restaurants on “the strip” in Loutraki do not have live music and most restaurants/bars/nightclubs play non-Greek music.

In closing, Ormos offers delicious, fresh and authentic Greek cuisine, great authentic Greek entertainment and a fantastic view along the water which is owned and operated by an extremely friendly, gracious and hospitable family. We will definitely go back to Ormos at our next trip to Loutraki…and we will definitely go there more than once...

ORMOS - This is a place for great food with incredible freshness cooked very well!

ORMOS is when the owner spearfishes a part of the menu himself, in the morning. ORMOS is, when you ask for the fishes of the day, you will be brought into the kitchen and have a plate of spearfished fish and octopus for you to decide what you want to have grilled! Incredible experience!

ORMOS is when you, like me, prefer meat and half of the menu (rooster, goat) are from their own farm! Like, when work is done, the owner goes home to feed the meat menu of the next week, on his farm.

ORMOS - great service and well cooked food. The view is great and the decor is simple yet elegant.

We were there once. We will go there again the next days - the food alone is with every visit! The service staff and the owner were great hosts, it was a pleasure to stay there.

Note: a whole fresh fish, deboned, grilled has a price and do not expect them to meet the price tag of captain iglo frozen food! The quality and freshness of the fish...

Bad food! Everything is over cooked and over priced! Ordered 3 steaks and they made it well well well done. Spoke with the owner and he pretended to be stupid and said “in Greece if you don’t say how you want it cooked, we make it well well done”. Ordered a white grouper (100 EUR fish!)which was over cooked as well with no flavors and no spices. We didn’t touch the fish!!! And we love fresh fish! Seems that waiters are also the cooks. No one serves the tables, and bottom line it was a bad experience! We were a party of 10 people, 4 adults - no one touched the food! Children ate bread which was also dry and not fresh. Seems that all these reviews are paid / fake or whatever. The three tables near us complained as well and they were super disappointed as well! Don’t waste your time! We left the place with a bad taste as we were ripped off by the price, the food, and the service! The promenade has many very good places! This is not...
